Avenged Sevenfold is Back With A Vengeance
The Seminal Metal Band Brings Their Incredible Live Concert Experience to South Florida – Photos and Review of the Avenged Sevenfold, Falling in Reverse and Kim Dracula Concert at the iThink Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL
From the first electric chords strummed to the final notes that echoed in the night, the iThink Financial Amphitheater was alive with the energy and passion of rock music this past Saturday. I had the incredible opportunity to witness the powerhouse performance by Avenged Sevenfold, one of the legends of the modern hard rock scene, and what a show it was. With opening acts Kim Dracula and Falling in Reverse setting the stage on fire to prepare us for the main event, it was a concert that rocked the very foundations of the venue. With crowds gathered from all over the state to witness the performance, it was definitely an experience to behold for fans fo the heavy music genre.
Kim Dracula kicked off the evening with a burst of energy and a setlist that immediately grabbed the audience’s attention. Their unique blend of alternative rock, electronic music and punk had fans jumping and singing along in no time. The band’s charisma on stage was infectious, and they left a lasting impression on A7X’s fans. Most of the setlist consisted of tracks from their latest album A Gradual Decline in Morale, and the crowd seemed to really dig the uniqueness of the songs like “Make Me Famous” and “Killdozer“. We even got to see their cover of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi”, which has been blowing up on TikTok. It’s clear that Kim Dracula are a rising star in the rock scene, and their performance only solidified that status.
Falling in Reverse took the stage next, and they wasted no time delivering another incredibly electrifying performance. Frontman Ronnie Radke’s dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals were a sight to behold as the band crushed song after song. The band’s setlist was a perfect mix of their biggest hits and newer material from their upcoming Neon Zombie EP, keeping the energy level at its peak. Falling in Reverse also played some people pleasers like “Bad Girls Club” and “Just Like You“, and crowd’s reaction was electric as mosh pits erupted throughout the amphitheater. Falling in Reverse’s performance was a rollercoaster of emotions, blending heavy rock with moments of introspection that showcased their musical versatility.
Finally, it was time for the main event—Avenged Sevenfold. The anticipation in the air was palpable as the lights dimmed, and Kavinsky’s “Nightcall” played over the PA as the iconic Avenged Sevenfold logo appeared on the massive lit-up stage backdrop. The band exploded onto the stage with “Game Over” and from that moment on, it was a non-stop rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza. M. Shadows’ vocals were as powerful and commanding as ever, while Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance shredded their guitars with jaw-dropping skill. The stage production was nothing short of spectacular, featuring elaborate lighting effects and 3 massive video screens that added an extra visual dimension to the music. Avenged Sevenfold’s performance was a masterclass in showmanship, and they played an extensive setlist that spanned their illustrious career but focused mainly on their latest album, Life Is But A Dream.
Highlights of the night included “Bat Country“, “Nightmare“, and “Hail to the King“, during which the entire amphitheater sang along at the top of their lungs. They even broke out “Unholy Confessions” from their very first album for the old school fans like myself. The emotional pinnacle of the evening came during the performance of “So Far Away“, dedicated to their late drummer and founding member The Rev as well as anyone else that the crowd might have lost recently. It was a heartfelt moment that brought tears to the eyes of many fans. Avenged Sevenfold’s encore was a thunderous rendition of the three part suite from their new album, “(G)”, “(O)rdiary” and “(D)eath”, leaving the crowd in an absolute frenzy and hungry for more. The band’s energy never waned throughout the night, and their passion for the music was palpable.
The Avenged Sevenfold concert at the iThink Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach was a sonic and visual spectacle that exceeded all expectations. With powerful opening acts like Kim Dracula and Falling in Reverse, the night was a celebration of rock music at its finest, and Avenged Sevenfold proved once again why they are one of the most iconic bands in the genre. If you have the chance to see them live, do not miss it. It’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
