Inside Gabriella’s Modern Italian, Delray Beach’s Most Glamorous Dining Experience
Discover Gabriella’s Modern Italian in Delray Beach—an upscale dining hotspot known for house-made pastas, luxury ambiance, celebrity sightings and unforgettable “Show & Substance” hospitality.
March, 5th, 2026
One year ago, the iconic restaurant, Gabriella’s Modern Italian, well-known and loved amongst all of the elite in New Jersey, moved to Delray Beach. Downtown Delray Beach has quietly become a hotbed for art, entertainment, culture, and culinary

At the epicenter of Gabriella’s is the owner Frankie Brusco, who is as legendary as the restaurant itself. He is New Jersey exemplified and the central vein for the heartbeat of the restaurant. When you pull up to the valet amid the array of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Bentleys with your mouth already agape, Frank is there to help usher you in and reassure you, saying, “I got you. Whatever you need, come see me.”

Now, if this were just hearsay, then I’d see right through it, but Frankie Brusco is the genuine article.
Gabriella’s Modern Italian is so much more than just an upscale eatery, this is an unforgettable dining experience where impeccable ingredients, first-class courtesy, and a velvet-roped atmosphere, all come together like nowhere else locally. They have coined this as, ‘Show & Substance.’

Your reality becomes twisted into what you thought only existed on screen, but now, you are there and you’re a part of it. This experience is done (in part) by its well-crafted structure and luxurious but contemporary interior. The bar area, surrounded by high structured arches culminating to its center is simply mesmerizing.

The soft elegant seating and upholstered couches help this restaurant go from its stationed singularity to blending the lines of a lounge and nightclub as well. The live (not overpowering) DJ on-site only reiterates this very chameleon nature. This is continued outside as well with their torch-lit patio, creating that after hours ambient vibe.

This, although important, is only the opening act to their incredible food. They have tableside services that include their Carbonara, a decadent Tiramisu, and even a Parmesan Bar, so you can build your dish just as you’d like it. At Gabriella’s they say that, “Every plate tells a story. It is crafted fresh, and served with soul and heart. We design each dish to highlight texture, technique, and balance.”

The freshness is really showcased with their house-made pastas and chef-inspired sauces. I had their Garganelli and was absolutely blown away. This beautiful rich past was teeming with rich truffle flavor and melted into buttery creaminess. It had added peas for enhanced flavor and texture and sliced 18-month prosciutto which increased its salty and savory element. Each unrelenting bite after another I was stunned at just how good it was.
Not to be outdone was their Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. It was unexpectedly good with the perfect backend hit to the tastebuds. The Chicken Parmesan rewrote the book of what I thought Chicken Parmesan was or tasted like. Each taste had the trifecta of sauce, cheese, and pesto at the highest level.

To go with the richest, most decadent food was Gabriella’s incredible list of wines and cocktails. I enjoyed their Ca’Del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Wine which paired perfectly with some of the heavier dishes. My favorite was their Ciao Bella. This was one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve had in a while. It was like a strawberry explosion with mint, reinvigorating the Tito’s Vodka.

Many specialized cocktails and sparkling wines are featured with a more simplistic but high-end menu for their Pop-Up Brunches. These brunches are the place to be with live music pumping from DJs, saxophonists, or trumpetists. We were blessed by a highly talented electric violin player.

The word of Gabriella’s Modern Italian has already spread and become a new celebrity hotspot. I chatted with Jason Pierre-Paul, who was an NFL linebacker and defensive end for the Tampa Bay buccaneers and NY Giants. Also there was Tommy DeVito, a quarterback with the NE Patriots. And enjoying the evening was Rosalyn Yellin with some of her other costars from Netflix’s Members Only: Palm Beach series.

Frankie Brusco has not only created a spectacular restaurant but has given South Florida a destination, an experience not to be missed. For anyone searching for an unforgettable Delray Beach dining experience, Gabriella’s Modern Italian delivers incredible food, luxury ambiance, and the kind of atmosphere that turns dinner into an event.

Takay Omakase Miami Opening on Coral Way Brings an Intimate 10 Seat Dining Experience
This 10-seat omakase opening in Miami is about to be one of the hardest reservations to get. Takay on Coral Way combines high-level sushi, intentional design, and a guest experience that feels personal from start to finish.
March 17, 2026
Miami, if you love a beautifully done omakase, this is one to have on your radar.
There is a new omakase concept opening this spring on Coral Way, and it already feels like the kind of place people will be trying to get into early. Takay is an intimate 10-seat experience created by founders Glen Kotlyarski and Yoni Matz, bringing together serious culinary pedigree with a very intentional, guest-focused vision.
Let’s start with the people behind it, because that is really what defines this concept.
Chef Glen Kotlyarski leads the culinary experience, bringing more than 2 decades of fine-dining expertise. His background includes the Jean Georges group and Miami’s Michelin-starred Hidden, and that level of precision and discipline is felt in every course. His approach draws from traditional Edomae sushi techniques, while staying grounded in seasonality and balance.
Alongside him, co-founder Yoni Matz brings a strong hospitality perspective shaped by years of building and operating restaurant concepts. His influence is clear in the overall experience, which is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and engaging rather than overly formal or intimidating.
And you feel that from the moment you arrive.
The space, designed by Japan based architecture firm KTX, is quietly stunning. Guests enter through a Japanese Zen garden, setting a calm and intentional tone before stepping inside. The interior blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship with subtle Miami influence, featuring natural materials, soft lighting, and a sculptural wooden wave installation inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa. The entire room is designed to slow you down and bring your attention fully into the experience.

Takay’s omakase follows a classic Edomae style, with two nightly seatings, each centered on a 17- or 20-course progression. Seafood is flown in from Japan and paired with seasonal ingredients from local farms, allowing the menu to evolve continuously.
The experience moves through sashimi, nigiri, and composed dishes, with each course prepared directly in front of guests and thoughtfully explained. It feels interactive, personal, and immersive, making the entire evening feel intentional.
It strikes that rare balance where the experience feels polished and high-level, but still comfortable enough to fully enjoy without overthinking it.
When it opens, Takay will offer a 17-course signature omakase at $225 per person and a 20-course extended omakase at $275. Each seating includes a welcome beverage, with optional sake, champagne, and wine pairings available.
Takay is located at 2296 Coral Way in Miami and will be open Tuesday through Saturday with seatings at 6 pm and 9 pm.
In a city known for large, high-energy dining scenes, Takay introduces something a little more intimate and intentional. It is the kind of place that focuses on the details, and those are usually the ones that stand out the most.
