BIG3 Brings Heat Inside Amerant Arena
BIG3 Week 7: Buckets, Boards and Ballers Take Over Sunrise.
July 31st, 2026
The BIG3 rolled into Amerant Bank Arena on Friday night, and the stars wasted little time putting on a show.
Dallas Power flexed its depth with a convincing 50-32 win over the Detroit Amps, while the Boston Ball Hogs escaped with a gritty 50-47 victory over hometown favorite Miami 305 in the night’s headline matchup.
Dallas didn’t need one player to carry the mic. Elijah Stewart led the way with 14 points, Greg Monroe stuffed the stat sheet with 13 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, and Glen Rice Jr. added 11 points while making his presence felt all over the floor with six rebounds, three steals, and a block. Detroit received a game-high 18 points from Nasir Core, but the supporting cast couldn’t match Dallas’ balanced attack.

The balanced performance reflected the mentality Dallas has embraced all season. During a brief conversation, head coach Nancy Lieberman made it clear that a first-place standing means very little if her team loses its competitive edge.
“We’re in first place right now, but we can never just walk out there like we’re in first place,” Lieberman said. “We have to be hunting people.”

While acknowledging Detroit’s talent despite roster changes, Lieberman emphasized that every opponent deserves respect.
“Detroit has a really good team,” she said. “It’s really important for us to stay focused on us and treat this like it’s a real playoff game.”
For Lieberman, every week is another opportunity to sharpen a championship contender.
“Every game we have to get a little bit better, a little bit more of a professional mentality as we go through the playoffs.”
If the opener showcased Dallas’ discipline, the nightcap belonged to the headliners.
Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley caught fire for Miami, combining for a jaw-dropping 43 of the team’s 47 points. Stephenson poured in a game-high 22, while Beasley added 21, giving the Sunrise crowd plenty to cheer about.

Boston, though, had its own maestro.
Jeremy Pargo orchestrated the Ball Hogs with 21 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists, while DeShawn Stephens controlled the glass with nine rebounds and Ray Nixon knocked down three triples. Boston’s balanced lineup and edge on the boards proved just enough to leave South Florida with a hard-earned three-point victory.

Some teams leaned on one superstar. Others spread the wealth. Dallas showcased the value of chemistry, depth, and a relentless mentality, while Boston survived behind timely contributions across the roster. By the end of the night, both teams walked out of Sunrise with victories, proving that when the lights get brightest, winning isn’t just about putting up points—it’s about trusting your teammates, executing the little things, and finishing the job.
