Tacos, Tequila and a Cause Worth Celebrating
Feeding South Florida spices up the fight against hunger with an afternoon of tacos, cocktails, salsa dancing and family-friendly fun in Pembroke Park.
October 26th, 2026
Who knew fighting hunger could taste this good?
Forget counting calories. On Saturday, November 7, Feeding South Florida is giving South Floridians a delicious excuse to loosen their belts, raise a glass and make a difference at its Tacos & Tequila festival. Taking over the organization’s Pembroke Park Warehouse from 2 to 6 p.m., this flavorful fiesta promises plenty of tacos, spirited competition and a cause worth raising a margarita to.
A Fiesta with Plenty of Flavor
The tortillas will be flying as local culinary talent battles for bragging rights in the Best Taco competition. Chef Susan Taves, representing Feeding South Florida’s Red Chair Catering Service, will join participating vendors in serving up mouthwatering creations, while mixologists compete for the coveted Best Tequila Cocktail title.
Of course, what’s a taco party without a little dancing?
Ryan Bauta Entertainment will keep the festivities moving with live music and entertainment, while guests can show off their salsa moves, enjoy tequila cocktails and wine, or try their luck in raffles featuring exciting prizes. Families are welcome too, with a dedicated kids’ zone ensuring the little ones have plenty to taco ’bout.
For those looking to take their taco obsession to VIP status, the upgraded experience includes a private lounge area, front-of-stage access, premium food and beverages, and exclusive tastings. The cherry on top, or perhaps the guacamole on the taco, comes courtesy of Feeding South Florida CEO Paco Velez, who will personally serve his signature Paco’s Tacos, available exclusively to VIP guests.
Turning Tacos into Something Bigger
Behind the festive atmosphere lies a sobering reality. More than 1.7 million South Floridians face food insecurity, including nearly 500,000 children and seniors. For many families, putting dinner on the table is a daily challenge.
That’s where this fiesta packs its biggest punch.
Every dollar raised supports Feeding South Florida’s mission to provide nutritious meals, combat hunger and strengthen communities throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.
Just $1 can provide four meals. Suddenly, ordering another taco sounds like a pretty good idea.
