Talento, A Welcomed Addition to Las Olas’s Restaurant Scene

A Culinary Masterpiece: Talento Shines Bright on Las Olas.

June 25th, 2019

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Las Olas, Talento is sure to establish itself as a true culinary gem, captivating locals and visitors alike with its exceptional dining experience. Stepping into the restaurant is like entering a world of refined elegance, where every detail, from the exquisite decor to the impeccable service, sets the stage for an unforgettable evening. My colleague and I had the pleasure of dining at Talento, and it was an experience that left us thoroughly impressed.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately struck by the sophisticated ambiance. The tastefully designed interior exudes a contemporary yet warm atmosphere, with soft lighting and stylish furnishings that create an inviting and intimate space. The restaurant’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the polished silverware to the immaculate presentation of each table.

But, as stylish as the restaurant showcases, the masterful composition of traditional Italian flavors is truly what sets the restaurant apart. Led by Executive Chef Luigi Criscuolo, the kitchen staff skillfully combines fresh, high-quality ingredients to create culinary delights that tantalize the taste buds.

Offering a wide range of options, the menu caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike, especially seafood enthusiasts. However, considering that I’m the farthest thing from being a seafood fan, my pre-conceived notion on their appetizer, Polpo Alla Griglia aka Grilled Spanish Octopus, was anything but optimistic. Well, those thoughts were quickly turned on their head. The subtle smokey flavor paired brilliantly with its overall succulent taste. Yet, the breaded and baked vegan appetizer, Tofu Balls, was also a delight.

Our entrees included the classic Italian dish Spaghetti Alla Chitarra aka One Pound of Lobster in Spaghetti and the extremely tender Branzino Mediterraneo aka Italian Sea Bass. The Spaghetti Alla Chitarra was beyond filling, aided by its thick pasta and addition of lobster. The Branzino Mediterraneo blended flawlessly with all the various herbs, spices and sauces mixed into it. As a lighter entrée option, it left us just enough room for dessert.

It was a good thing too, because the selection of desserts we had were nothing short of extraordinary. The Panne Cotta and Crème Brule both brought sweet sugary tears to my eyes with their mild punch of exotic flavors.

However, beyond the exceptional food, Talento also boasts an extensive wine list, featuring a diverse range of Italian and international labels. Our server was well-versed in the selections and guided us through the options, ensuring a perfect pairing for each dish.

Simply put, if you’re looking for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary and in turn becomes extraordinary, then Talento is the place to be on Las Olas.
