From Soul to Country—Teddy Swims Does It All

One Cowboy Hat, 50 Million Fans, and a Voice That Shook the Room—Teddy Swims Took Over Florida.
May 9th, 2025
The Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida was electric on Friday, May 9th, 2025. Teddy Swims’ fans—ranging from wide-eyed kids at their first show to grizzled concert vets—packed the venue for the first sold-out night of his I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour. And let me tell you: it was a night that delivered.
Opening the evening was Diamond Cafe, the smooth alter ego of British Colombian vocalist Tristan Thompson. His breakout track, “The Way You Used To Love Me,” gave off slick, Prince-like vibes—think synth-pop soaked in R&B. With some serious moves and a sound that got the crowd swaying, Diamond was the perfect warm-up, setting the tone without stealing the thunder.

Then the lights dropped. The crowd roared. And there he was—Teddy Swims—perched atop the staircase of a massive stage setup, decked out in a denim cowboy hat and a blue jean suit styled by Christian Stroble, complete with wild leopard print. Of course, he ditched the hat mid-song like a boss. The visuals, the lighting—it all hit just right as he launched into the opening trio: “Not Your Man,” “Hammer to the Heart,” and “Apple Juice.”
That 14-song setlist hit all the feels. From the smooth soul of “Close the Door” to the haunting “Bad Dreams,” and his No. 1 Adult R&B Airplay smash “Are You Even Real” featuring Giveon, the crowd was locked in. No fillers—just banger after banger.

What really sets Teddy apart is his range. One moment he’s crooning soul; the next he’s diving into pop, country, and R&B like it’s second nature. His stripped-down take on “You’re Still the One” proved he can hang in the country lane just as well as any Nashville staple.
Swims isn’t just a voice—he’s a whole damn experience. The Atlanta native built his following with jaw-dropping YouTube covers before landing a deal with Warner Music in 2020. His debut album, I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1), dropped in September 2023 and gave us “Lose Control,” the megahit that shattered records—recently overtaking The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” with 87 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and 58 non-consecutive weeks in the Top 10. Global domination? Yeah, it’s happening. The follow-up, Part 2, dropped in January 2025 and only fueled the fire.
With over 50 million monthly listeners on Spotify and an army of loyal fans, Teddy Swims is more than a rising star—he’s a supernova. He brings raw emotion, powerhouse vocals, and a magnetic presence that makes it impossible to look away. Whether he’s belting out “I Can’t Make You Love Me” or laughing with fans between songs, Teddy connects. Deeply. Honestly. Fearlessly.
If you haven’t jumped on the Teddy train yet, you’re missing out. Crank up the volume, dive into the catalog, and catch him live if you can.
Because when Teddy Swims takes the stage… it’s not just a concert—it’s a moment.
