Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening Rocks South Florida
Jason Bonham and the Gang Bring Out Some Deep Cuts For The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience – Photos and Review of Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL
Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening delivered an electrifying tribute to one of rock’s most legendary bands this past weekend at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida as hundreds of old school rock n roll fans packed the venue to get a chance to see their favorite songs live. The show was a celebration of Led Zeppelin’s enduring legacy, featuring note-perfect renditions of their iconic hits and even some deep cuts that Jason Bonham has never played live before. Fans were taken on a journey through the band’s catalog, with Bonham—a rock legend in his own right—steering the ship with precision and passion as the backing band expertly helped delivered hit after hit.

The night began with a lively performance by opening act Jager Henry, a rising star in the hard rock world and son of the drum master himself, Jason Bonham. Henry and his band set the tone with a mix of original songs from his EP, showcasing the band’s unique heavier style that fans of his father’s music might not usually listen to. Henry’s commanding stage presence and the rest of the band’s bassy grooves and searing guitar solos warmed up the audience and left them eager for what was to come.

Finally, the lights dimmed once again, the iconic opening riff of “In The Evening” filled the air and the crowd erupted with excitement as Jason Bonham and his talented bandmates launched into a high-energy set that captured the raw power and magic of Led Zeppelin’s music. Bonham, the son of late Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, brought both technical prowess and emotional resonance to the performance, honoring his father’s legacy while adding his unique touch as he spoke to the crowd about his father and how much his songs mean to him. The setlist was a carefully curated selection of both Zeppelin classics and some rarely played deep cuts, from the bluesy swagger of “Heartbreaker” to the thunderous “Kashmir.” Vocalist James Dylan delivered a stunning Robert Plant impression, hitting the high notes with ease and channeling the spirit of the original performances. Guitarist Jimmy Sakurai’s faithful renditions of Jimmy Page’s riffs and solos, along with his near split-image look, elevated the night to near perfection.

The highlight of the show was Bonham’s heartfelt introduction to “Stairway to Heaven”, the song the entire crowd was waiting to hear the whole night, and the band’s performance of the legendary song brought the audience to a hushed reverence before erupting into a standing ovation as the final notes faded. The encore was a powerhouse finish, featuring crowd favorite “Whole Lotta Love”, and Jason’s thunderous drum solo during show finisher “Rock and Roll” was a reminder of the unmatched talent that runs in the Bonham bloodline. By the end of the night, the entire venue was on its feet, singing along and reveling in the shared love of timeless rock and roll.
