Nekrogoblikon Show South Florida Their Goblin With A Night of Chaos and MajestyReview and Photos of the Nekrogoblikon Concert at the Revolution Live in Ft Lauderdale, FL

The goblin horde descended upon Revolution Live Friday night and the venue will never be the same as Nekrogoblikon, the kings of goblin-themed extreme metal, brought their signature blend of chaos, humor, and crushing riffs to South Florida. Supported by a stacked lineup of fellow extreme metal bands Brat, Ov Sulfur, and Revocation, the result was an unforgettable night of madness, mosh pits, and melodic mayhem, proving once again why this band has cultivated such a devoted cult following over the years.

Opening the night was Brat, a New Orleans-based “brat”core act that wasted no time igniting the crowd as they kicked off the carnage. Their raw, frenetic energy set the tone early, with blistering blast beats and snarling vocals from Liz Selfish that left no room for hesitation. Tracks like “Hesitation Wound “and “Blood Diamond whipped the early arrivals into a moshing frenzy, proving that even the first band of the night could leave bruises. The band’s unrelenting aggression and chaotic stage presence made it clear that they were there to wake up the audience—and they succeeded with flying colors as they finished off the night with “Social Grace”.

Next up was Ov Sulfur, the deathcore project fronted by former Suffokate vocalist Ricky Hoover. The band’s sinister atmosphere and crushing breakdowns had the crowd moving relentlessly, their sound a perfect mix of eerie melodies and bone-shattering heaviness. Hoover’s commanding stage presence was undeniable, especially during fan favorites like Earthen” and Befouler”, where his guttural vocal lows and piercing highs sent shockwaves through the venue. The pit swelled as the band’s blackened deathcore sound filled the room, setting the stage for the technical onslaught to come and leaving fans hungry for more.

Revocation took the stage next, delivering a clinic in precision, technicality, and sheer brutality that left the audience in awe. Frontman and guitar wizard Dave Davidson shredded through complex, thrash-infused death metal riffs with effortless skill, while the rhythm section pummeled the audience into submission with machine-like precision. Tracks like Diabolical Majesty” and That Which Consumes All Things” showcased the band’s ability to balance melody and aggression, their intricate songwriting and flawless execution earning cheers from both old-school fans and newcomers alike. By the time they closed their set with “The Outer Ones”, it was clear why Revocation remains one of the most respected bands in modern extreme metal.

By the time Nekrogoblikon emerged, the crowd was primed for their well-known full-blown insanity, and the band delivered in every possible way. The band’s eccentric stage presence—complete with a giant inflatable Goblin head and their iconic goblin mascot John Goblikon—turned the show into a spectacle of fun and ferocity, blending theatrical antics with top-tier musicianship. Tracks like Dressed as Goblins” and Fiend” had the audience screaming along, while the band flawlessly blended melodic hooks with death metal intensity, creating a sound that was as catchy as it was devastating. One of the most memorable moments of the night came when the entire moshpit sat down to “row” during “Show Me Your Goblin, showcasing the unique fandom that this band cultivates.

Crushing their way though No One Survives” andPowercore“, new frontman Dickie Allen (alongside the ever-entertaining “Goblin Flav” of the group, John Goblikon) kept the energy high with playful banter and crowd interaction, proving that Nekrogoblikon is as much about the visual entertainment as they are about heavy music. The encore of “The Magic Spiderand “This Is It sealed the deal, leaving the crowd exhausted but ecstatic, their voices hoarse from singing along and their bodies sore from relentless moshing. A night of unrelenting metal, unforgettable theatrics, and pure, goblin-fueled fun that left no doubt why Nekrogoblikon’s live show is in a league of its own. From Brat’s raw punk assault to Ov Sulfur’s demonic grooves, Revocation’s technical wizardry, and Nekrogoblikon’s goblin-fueled antics, this was a tour package that delivered on every level. If you missed this one, consider yourself warned: the goblins always return, and when they do, you’d better be ready—because Nekrogoblikon don’t just put on a concert, they deliver an experience.
