Wage War Tear Up Ft Lauderdale
Florida Metalcore Heroes Bring Their Manic Tour To South Florida – Review and Photos of the Wage War Concert at Revolution Live in Ft Lauderdale, FL
This past Tuesday night, metal lovers from all over South Florida braved the weather to gather at the Revolution Live for an unforgettable high-energy performance by Wage War, who stopped by the venue to kick off their nation-wide “Manic” tour to promote their latest album release, appropriately titled “Manic“. Rounding out the bill were Spite and Nothing,Nowhere, both of whom I had not seen before but heard great things about.

The night kicked off with the opening act Spite taking the stage. The San Diego, California-based band quickly won over the audience with their unique blend of metalcore and hardcore music, featuring heavy guitar riffs and pounding drums. Lead vocalist Darius Tehrani’s intense energy and dynamic stage presence commanded attention, and the crowd was quickly drawn into the mosh pit as Spite delivered their electrifying set. They played for a relatively short time, but some songs that really stood out to me included “Kingdom of Guts“, “Crumble” and “The Root of All Evil“.

Following Spite’s performance, the stage was set for the alternative hip-hop artist Nothing,Nowhere. Despite the genre shift, the audience remained engaged and enthusiastic, cheering as the band appeared on stage. In the studio, singer Joe Mulherin composes and writes both the instrumental and lyrical parts of his songs, Trent Reznor style. For live shows such as this, he assembles a live backing band, who did an amazing job providing the driving riffs, killer drumming and booming bass. His music reminded my of a mix of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit, and the crowd seemed to enjoy the throwback sounds of their childhood. Finishing up their time on stage with their biggest hit “Hammer“, you can tell that the band left with some new fans that night.

As the night wore on, the excitement in the venue continued to build, with fans eagerly anticipating the main act. Finally, the moment arrived, and Wage War took to the stage to thunderous applause. The Ocala, Florida-based band wasted no time in launching into their high-energy set with “Relapse“, “Teeth“, and “Low“. The night featured many songs from their new album as well as fan favorites from their older releases for the hardcore fans. Lead vocalist Briton Bond’s powerful voice filled the venue, as the band’s guitarists, Seth Blake and Cody Quistad, unleashed blistering riffs and solos. The rhythm section, composed of bassist Chris Gaylord and drummer Stephen Kluesener, kept the audience moving with their driving beats and thunderous fills. The band played an incredible near two-hour set, with hits like “Circle the Drain” and “Death Roll” making an appearance. As the lights dimmed and concert’s finale drew near, the crowd was still energized and shouting for more. Wage War obliged, returning to the stage for an encore that included an acoustic version of “Johnny Cash” and “Manic“. As the final notes of the night echoed through the venue, fans left feeling exhilarated and satisfied by an unforgettable night of live music.

Overall, the Wage War concert at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was a fantastic experience for live music lovers of all ages. With powerful performances by Spite and Nothing,Nowhere, as well as an electrifying set by Wage War, the concert showcased the very best of contemporary metalcore. For anyone who loves live music and a high-energy atmosphere, this concert was an absolute must-see.
