Final Weekend Fireworks Cap Another Electric Delray Beach Open

Delray Beach Open’s Championship Weekend Sets the Stage for an Even Bigger 2027.

February 21st – 22nd, 2026

Championship weekend at the Delray Beach Open delivered exactly what fans hope for when the tournament reaches its final stretch. Big rallies, tense moments, and an all-American showdown wrapped up another memorable week at the Delray Beach Tennis Center, leaving the crowd buzzing as the final balls were struck.

Saturday’s semifinals were the appetizer before the main course.

Sebastian Korda earned the first spot in the final with a confident win over Italy’s Flavio Cobolli, taking the match 7–6 (1), 6–1. The first set kept fans on edge until the tiebreak, but once Korda found his rhythm he shifted into another gear, closing the door quickly in the second set with clean groundstrokes and a serve that kept Cobolli guessing.

The second semifinal featured another American battle as Tommy Paul held off rising young talent Learner Tien to punch his ticket to the championship match. The result guaranteed an American champion and set the stage for a Sunday finale that felt worthy of the packed stadium atmosphere.

When Sunday arrived, Korda wasted little time rising to the moment.

He defeated Paul 6–4, 6–3 to claim the 2026 Delray Beach Open singles title, controlling rallies from the baseline while striking the right balance between patience and aggression. Every time Paul looked ready to build momentum, Korda answered with another clutch serve or perfectly timed winner.

The victory marked Korda’s third career ATP Tour title, and with Florida roots and a lively South Florida crowd behind him, the moment felt right at home in Delray Beach.

Earlier in the day, the doubles final delivered the weekend’s most heart-pounding finish.

American Austin Krajicek and Croatia’s Nikola Mektić rallied to defeat Ryan Seggerman and Benjamin Kittay 6–7 (3), 6–3, 11–9 in a nail-biting match tiebreak. After dropping the opening set, the duo regrouped, found their rhythm, and edged out the dramatic finish with the crowd leaning forward on nearly every point.

With trophies raised, autographs signed, and fans lingering around the stadium for one last look at the action, the 2026 edition of the Delray Beach Open officially came to a close.

Yet if this year proved anything, it is that Delray Beach continues to serve up a perfect blend of world-class tennis, fan-friendly atmosphere, and unforgettable moments. From legends matches that bring nostalgia to rising stars carving out their place in the sport, the tournament keeps finding new ways to entertain.

If this year was any indication, the countdown to 2027 has already begun. The stands will fill again, the serves will fly, and another chapter of Delray Beach tennis magic will be waiting just around the corner.
