Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival Announces Three Show Season Lineup
Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival Announces Three Show Season featuring Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth and the Florida Premiere of Falstaff; Festival season includes official launch of Sharing Shakespeare educational programs.
August 25th, 2025
The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival, (PBSF) the County’s longest-running professional theater company, announces its upcoming 2025 – 2026 season which features a collaboration with Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) and a Shakespeare by the Sea original premiere. The season line-up includes the PBAU collaboration production of Romeo & Juliet on October 2 – 4 at the Fern Street Theater; the 6th Annual Shakespeare by the Palms presentation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth on February 13 – 16 at its new location in the Veterans Park Amphitheater in Royal Palm Beach, and the 36th Anniversary Shakespeare by the Sea premiere of the original production, Falstaff: Shakespeare’s Greatest Invention at the Seabreeze Amphitheater in Carlin Park, Jupiter from July 9 – 19.
In addition to its professional productions, PBSF officially launches its in-school Sharing Shakespeare educational programs. Underwritten by Gary and Katherine Parr, the program includes interactive performances of selected scenes from the Spring production of Macbeth, with Company actors and its director breaking down the history, language and methods of performing each scene. Additionally, PBSF will bring its Fall production of Romeo & Juliet to the Kravis Center as a part of the Center’s educational S*T*A*R* Series on October 27 – 29. S*T*A*R* Series performances enhance classroom curricula and include admission waivers, ensuring no student is denied admission because of economic need*.
“Following our incredible anniversary season, we are so excited to bring more of the Bard to the community through an added Fall production and the official launch of our Sharing Shakespeare educational programming,” says Managing Producer, Elizabeth Dashiell. “Despite multiple years of funding cuts, we are able to expand our offerings thanks to our long-time cultural partnerships with PBAU and the Kravis Center, as well as the School District of Palm Beach County and our season sponsors, Gary and Katherine Parr. The arts are for everyone, and we are committed to doing everything we can to ensure access to the language, history, critical thinking and more that the works of William Shakespeare brings to us all. All of our productions are presented at low, or no cost to our students and patrons to remove as many socioeconomic barriers as possible from seeing these great works as they were meant to be enjoyed – live on stage.”
Shakespeare by the Palms is presented by The Village of Royal Palm Beach. Shakespeare by the Sea is presented in cultural partnership with Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation. The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival season is presented by The Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival and Gary and Katherine Parr. Shakespeare by the Sea is also sponsored by Frank Cona & Lisa Calberg. Additional funding is provided by a grant from the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County.

Encouraged by his wife, Macbeth kills the king and takes the throne, fulfilling the witches’ prophecy. But once on the throne, the couple find that “blood will have blood” and they, and the country, will never be the same.

Featured in three of Shakespeare’s plays, one of the most enduring and beloved characters of all time is brought to live in this Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival production of Fallstaff: Shakespeare’s Greatest Invention. From Henry the IV and Henry the V, to The Merry Wives of Windsor, the character of Falstaff looms larger-than-life. Palace Bar Is the Pulse of Miami Beach Pride 2026
Set across from the restored rainbow crosswalk, this Ocean Drive favorite is once again becoming the heart of Miami Beach Pride.
April 8, 2026
As Miami Beach Pride 2026 returns to Ocean Drive this April, Palace Bar Miami Beach is once again set to be one of the biggest centers of the celebration. Known for its drag shows, open-air dining, and longtime place in South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community, Palace will host a full schedule of Pride Week events while standing directly across from one of the most meaningful new symbols of the weekend: the restored rainbow crosswalk in Miami Beach.
On Friday, April 10, the City of Miami Beach will unveil the rebuilt LGBTQIA+ rainbow crosswalk in Lummus Park, just steps from the Palace on Ocean Drive. The installation was recreated using 3,606 salvaged pavers from the original 2009 crosswalk, giving the city a renewed and permanent symbol of LGBTQ+ visibility, unity, and pride. Its location across from the Palace makes the venue a natural backdrop for one of the most talked-about moments of Miami Beach Pride 2026.
That visibility is nothing new for Palace. Owned by Tom Donall, a co-founder of Miami Beach Pride, Palace has spent nearly four decades building its reputation as one of the most iconic LGBTQ+ venues in Miami Beach. For locals and visitors alike, it has become a go-to destination for drag entertainment, brunch, nightlife, and community on Ocean Drive.
This year’s Palace Bar Miami Beach Pride lineup runs from April 8 through April 12 and includes some of the week’s biggest events. The schedule features the Miami Beach Pride Pageant on April 8, the Haus of Gucci Ball on April 10, and a full weekend of brunches, rooftop events, performances, and DJ sets from Oscar Velasquez and Jrny. Pride weekend will close on Sunday, April 12, with a major final celebration featuring DJ Dani Brasil and appearances by RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Jimbo and Trinity the Tuck.
With the return of the rainbow crosswalk and a major lineup of performances and events, Palace is positioned to be one of the defining destinations of Miami Beach Pride 2026. The venue continues to bring together nightlife, performance, and LGBTQ+ culture in a way that feels both celebratory and deeply rooted in Miami Beach’s history.
