Dethklok and Babymetal Deliver An Insane Show

The BabyKlok Tour Stopped By Orlando To Deliver an Incredible Audio-Visual Heavy Metal Extravaganza – Review and Photos of the Dethklok and Babymetal Tour at the Orlando Amphitheater
When two metal titans collide on one stage, you know you’re in for a night of pure musical mayhem. The Orlando Amphitheater was transformed into a battlefield of sound this past weekend when BabyMetal and Dethklok joined forces to deliver an unforgettable performance in the form of the BABYKLOK tour. The opening act Jason Richardson also set the stage on fire with his incredible guitar skills and set the tone for a night of epic proportions.
Kicking off the night with a whirlwind of guitar wizardry, Jason Richardson showed off his formidable talent with a blistering set that left the audience in awe. His intricate fretwork and lightning-fast solos demonstrated why he’s regarded as one of the brightest stars in the instrumental metal world. Displaying songs from his aptly named solo albums “One” and “Two“, Richardson’s performance was a rollercoaster ride through a sonic landscape of technical prowess and musical virtuosity. His ability to seamlessly blend melodic and aggressive elements made for a captivating opener, leaving the crowd ready for what lay ahead.
Finally, the lights dimmed and the eerie audio-visual intro video began to play, and the anticipation reached its peak as the crowd went absolutely wild. Suddenly, the band began to play and the stage came alive with the unique fusion of J-pop and heavy metal that only BabyMetal can deliver. Su-Metal, Moametal, and Momometal burst onto the stage with their trademark boundless energy, their angelic voices contrasting beautifully with the thunderous riffs and pounding drums. The stage production was nothing short of spectacular, featuring dazzling lighting, incredible videos and elaborate set designs that transported the audience to a world of Japanese mythology and heavy metal madness.
The setlist consisted of songs like “BABYMETAL DEATH“, “Gimme Chocolate!!” and “Megitsune“, which showcased BabyMetal’s unique ability to blend catchy pop melodies with bone-crushing metal riffs. The choreography was flawless, with the trio’s synchronized dance moves adding an extra layer of entertainment to the performance. The crowd’s energy was infectious, with fans of all ages singing along and moshing to the rambunctious tunes. Babymetal finished off their time on stage with their biggest hits “Headbangerrrrr!!!!” and “Road of Resistance” as the crowd screamed for more.
After BabyMetal’s captivating set, the stage was cleared for the main event – the world’s most famous virtual metal band, Dethklok. As the animated members of Dethklok took center stage on the enormous LED screen, the crowd erupted in cheers. The live band, including metal legends Brendon Small and drummer Gene Hoglan, were hidden in the shadows but unleashed a relentless barrage of thunderous metal. Kicking off with an incredible one-two punch of “Deththeme” and “Breifcase Full of Guts“, the over-the-top videos did an awesome job of showcasing the humor of the Metalocalypse show. The combination of the virtual and real-world elements created a surreal experience that was both visually and musically astonishing.
Dethklok’s setlist was a brutal onslaught of a few songs from their newest album “Dethalbum IV” sorrounded by a plethora of their greatest hits, including “Thunderhorse“, “Go Into the Water,” and “Murmaider.” The visuals were a feast for the eyes, featuring intense and gory animations that perfectly complemented the band’s dark and humorous lyrical themes. The crowd headbanged in unison, creating a sea of hair and fists in the air. The light show was incredible, and the the choreography between the band, effects crew and the videos was truly an experience to behold. My one complaint about Dethklok’s set is that it didn’t last nearly long enough!
The BABYKLOK tour featuring BabyMetal and Dethklok at the Orlando Amphitheater was a colossal collision of two metal worlds that left the audience in a state of euphoria. From Jason Richardson’s virtuosic opening act to BabyMetal’s infectious blend of J-pop and metal, and finally to Dethklok’s mind-bending fusion of animation and live performance, every moment of the show was a testament to the power of metal music to unite and electrify. It was a night that Orlando’s metal community won’t soon forget, and it will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most epic concerts to ever grace the city.
