Life’s a Beach at Tortuga 2025
Tortuga 2025 Provided A Sun-Soaked Musical Celebration For South Florida Country Fans – Photos and Feature on the Tortuga Music Festival 2025 in Fort Lauderdale Beach, FL
The Tortuga Music Festival is back and its 2025 edition once again transformed the beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach into a three-day paradise for country, blues, and hip-hop fans, delivering unforgettable performances in the sea-breeze under the balmy Florida sun. With a lineup blending chart-topping headliners, rising stars, and legendary acts, this year’s festival proved why it remains one of the most anticipated events on the music calendar for any South Florida music fan. Beyond the music, Tortuga stayed true to its mission of ocean conservation, with proceeds supporting the Rock The Ocean Foundation’s efforts to protect marine ecosystems. Festival-goers enjoyed local food vendors, beachside bars, and interactive exhibits promoting sustainability—all while dancing in the sand to some of the biggest names in music.

In addition to the main stages, the “Next from Nashville” stage provided a platform for up-and-coming country artists, giving festival-goers an up close and personal taste of tomorrow’s stars. The intimate setting allowed fans to discover new favorites before they hit the big time and they have to shell out hundreds of dollars to see them in an arena (plus, they get bragging rights about seeing them as they were still coming up)! Alongside the incredible music, there were tons of food and merchandise booths selling everything from cowboy hats to bathing suits, and there were even booths from Monster Energy and Dunkin’ Donuts giving away cold caffeinated drinks to serve as a mid-day pick-me-up for weary festival attendees as they headed to the next stage.

FRIDAY: Jelly Roll Brings the Heat to Kick Off Tortuga 2025
The festival roared to life on Friday with an absolutely stacked lineup that brought a little bit of variety to the country-focused fest. Still riding high on his meteoric rise to stardom, Jelly Roll delivered a fiery powerhouse performance filled with raw emotion and high-energy anthems. The crowd sang along to every word of hits like “Need a Favor” and “Son of a Sinner,” while Jelly Roll’s gravelly voice and heartfelt storytelling left a lasting impression. His set was the perfect mix of rock grit and country soul, proving why he’s one of the most compelling artists in music today.

Before Jelly Roll took the stage, Hip-hop legend Ludacris brought the hype with a career-spanning set of classics, from “Number One Spot” to “Rollout”. The crowd went wild as he commanded the stage with his signature rapid-fire flow and infectious energy, making the set feel like a massive beachside block party. Earlier on in the day, Parker McCollum charmed fans with his Texas-country twang and hits like “Hurricane” and “Pretty Heart”, while blues-rock phenom Marcus King stunned the crowd with blistering guitar solos, showcasing why he’s one of the best live performers today. Gary Allan brought his signature outlaw-country sound, delivering fan favorites like “Tough Goodbye” and “Watching Airplanes”, while Artikal Sound System kept the vibes smooth early on in the day with their reggae-infused grooves.

SATURDAY: Keith Urban Shines Under the Stars
While Friday set the tone for the weekend—high-energy, genre-blending, and full of surprises—the party really got started on Saturday as the brought a mix of country anthems, rising stars, and reggae legends, culminating in a show-stopping headlining set from Keith Urban. Proving once again why he’s a global superstar, Keith Urban delivered a dazzling performance full of sing-along hits, jaw-dropping guitar solos, and effortless charisma. From “Somebody Like You” to “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” his set was a masterclass in live performance, and the Australian superstar’s infectious energy had the entire beach dancing under the stars, creating one of the weekend’s most memorable moments.

Before Keith’s show-stopping display, one of the breakout performances of the day came from Shaboozey, a up-and-coming artist who blended hip-hop beats with country storytelling. His unique sound had the entire crowd bouncing, especially during his viral hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Fast rising country artist Jordan Davis had a sea of cowboy hat-clad fans swaying to his heartfelt tunes like “Buy Dirt” and “Damn Good Time”, and of course, The Original Wailers honored Bob Marley’s legacy with a transcendent reggae set that transported fans to the islands. Ezra Ray Hart (A supergroup featuring Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra, and Emerson Hart of Tonic) also added a little alternative soul into the mix with their cover-filled set of their band member’s tunes and other 90’s classics.

SUNDAY: Luke Combs Closes Out with a Bang in a Country-Powered Finale
Sunday was a full-on country music extravaganza, with Luke Combs leading the helm of an all-star lineup of fan favorites and rebellious outliers. Country superstar Luke Combs brought his booming voice and southern-tinged anthems to the beach, delivering a hit-packed set that left the crowd in awe of his commanding stage presence. From “1, 2 Many” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart” to “When It Rains It Pours”, every song felt like a massive sing-along, and his down-to-earth charm, relatable lyrics and powerhouse vocals solidified why he’s one of country music’s biggest stars.

The other highlight of the day was fast-rising star Megan Moroney, who charmed fans with her breakout hits such as “I’m Not Pretty“, “Am I Okay” and “Tennessee Orange”. Everything about her performance, from the elaborate stage setup and the catchy, relatable songs to the sea of fans clamoring for a good spot, tells me we’ll be seeing her headlining Tortuga in a few years. We also saw some wildcard performances in the form of Hip-hop rebel Yelawolf, who shook things up with a high-energy set that had the crowd dancing along in the sand (and even featuring a surprise guest appearance from Bam Margera). Cody Jinks brought his gritty, outlaw-country edge, standing out with raw, unfiltered authenticity, and Bumpin’ Uglies kept the party going with their reggae-rooted genre-blending island sounds.

With perfect weather, epic performances, and a laid-back beach vibe, Tortuga 2025 was another massive success. Whether fans came for Jelly Roll’s emotional southern hip-hop anthems, Keith Urban’s country guitar magic, Luke Combs’ powerhouse vocals, or one of the dozens of other amazing artists performing over the weekend, the festival delivered a ton of unforgettable moments—proving once again why it’s a must-attend event for music lovers. See you next year, Tortuga!
