CLUE Live On Stage at the Kravis Center: A Whodunnit with a Wink, a Wiggle and a Whole Lot of Wacky.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Scooby-Doo, Agatha Christie, and Looney Tunes threw a cocktail party in a decadent New England mansion circa 1954—wonder no more. Clue Live On Stage at the Kravis Center is exactly that fever dream brought to life. And it is gloriously unhinged.

Based on the cult-classic screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, this stage version doesn’t just tip its hat to the original—it throws the whole hat rack. From the moment the thunder crashes and the blackmail begins, it’s a non-stop parade of deranged delight, complete with doors slamming, people fainting, suspicious glances, and choreographed chaos that would make a marching band dizzy.

The ensemble? A dream team of delightful weirdos. Every character is over-the-top in the best way possible, yet somehow this motley crew meshes with the grace of a well-oiled cuckoo clock. John Sharyzer (Aladdin the Musical) gives us a Mr. Green who is as jittery as a squirrel on espresso, while Jeff Skowron (The Lion King, Enron) absolutely steals the show as the butler Wadsworth, delivering a rapid-fire, side-splitting reenactment of the night’s shenanigans that feels like watching a human blender on Broadway.

As the mystery unfolds in the sprawling Boddy Manor—an absurdly lavish set dripping in gothic glam—so do the laughs. The cast gallops through a maze of accusations, red herrings, and absurd plot twists with the kind of physical humor that’s part ballet, part “wait, did they really just do that?” Expect pratfalls, exaggerated sneaking, and a ridiculous number of synchronized double-takes. The silly mannerisms alone are worth the price of admission.

Stormy weather sound effects, ominous lightning, and a soundtrack that knows exactly when to dun dun DUNNN all add to the immersive hilarity. And just when you think you’ve figured it out—bam! Another twist, another wild entrance, another “did they really just say that?” moment.

In short: Clue Live On Stage is a deliciously ridiculous romp that keeps your attention firmly locked in the whole way through. It’s deranged, delightful and utterly entertaining.
