Spartan Race returns to Boca Raton’s S. County Regional Park with 5K Sprint featuring 20+ obstacles.

Far from what I used to be physically in previous years, this year’s Spartan Race really tested my will power. Whether it meant challenging my cardio or my upper body strength, it really was not about what I couldn’t do, but more about the notion of whether to just fold over and quit or would I at least strive for the best. Well, I attempted the latter and while I wasn’t victorious each time, it felt good to know the effort was there. It was a good indication of what I needed to do to get back to those better days.

But, that’s really a testament to what the majority of participants of Spartan were about. It’s not necessarily recording the fastest time, but instead creating a bond of like-minded individuals as they power through obstacles and often being a positive voice for others. You can’t really find that in most entertainment-based settings.
