2023 SOUTHEAST FLORIDA SCOTTISH FESTIVAL & HIGHLAND GAMES RETURNS THIS YEAR AT PLANTATION HERITAGE PARK.

March 4th, 2023

Atypical of many festivals, the Southeast Florida Scottish Festival & Highland Games doesn’t stray far away from its roots. Visitors can witness Sheepdog Demonstrations, Pipe Bands, Bagpipers, Highland Dancing and Game competitions such as the Caber and Stone Toss, plus the newly added Tug-of-War battle. The annual event is truly one of its own.

However, one of the best parts of the event is the abundance of audience participation that came from one of the tents featuring Gaelic and Celtic music. Everybody was singing and dancing along. Furthermore, as a nice, shaded spot, it provided a comfortable spot to kick back with a pint and nibble on plenty of the unique food offerings such as Haggis, Fish & Chips and Black Pudding. Still, while the festival was based around Scottish themes, it also featured Greek and British food.

Just a fun time all-around.
