Alpha Wolf and Emmure Slam Into Florida
Technical Difficulties Cant Sideline a Night of Unrelenting Energy – Reviews and Photos of the Emmure & Alpha Wolf Concert the the Revolution Live in Ft Lauderdale, FL
Revolution Live crackled with anticipation this past Friday as fans gathered for a long awaited night of releasing their pent up energy in the mosh-pit. With Alpha Wolf headlining the bill, featuring Emmure as direct support and Chamber and Unity TX as opening acts, the stage was set for a relentless onslaught of metalcore mayhem. It was great to see that the crowd was filled with younger people, keeping the local scene alive and practicing their best karate moves in the pit.

Kicking off the proceedings, Nashville natives Chamber took the stage and unleashed a sonic assault that left no head unturned. Their complex polyrhythmic guitarwork and destructive drums created an intense auditory experience, with tracks like “Visions of Hostility” and “Torn from Perfection” showcasing their technical prowess. The songs were incredibly short (about one to two minutes each) so they were able to play a majority of their latest album “A Love To Kill For“, and the band reminded me a lot of early Pig Destroyer.

Next up, Unity TX was the surprise of the night for me, coming straight outta Texas to showcase their unique style of hip-hop metalcore. Combining old-school hardcore rap elements with hardcore Hatebreed style caveman riffs, the combination went together like pizza and pineapple: you don’t quite expect it to work, but it very much does! The band wasted no time in kicking off their set with songs from their last album “Ferality“, and their high-energy performance electrified the crowd, with tracks like “DIAMOND DIEZ” inciting frenetic mosh pits. This is definitely a band to watch out for, and I cant wait to see what else they come up with!

After Unity TX finished their set, Emmure emerged onto the stage, with frontman Frankie Palmeri dancing around with an explosive energy that ignited the venue. Emmure commanded the stage with an imposing presence, with Frankie delivering guttural vocals that resonated with primal intensity while guitarist Josh Travis chugged along with riffs heavier than lead. From classics like “Sunday Bacon” to newer hits like “Gypsy Disco“, Emmure’s set was a relentless barrage of bone-crushing breakdowns and infectious hooks, leaving the audience in a state of euphoric chaos. Unfortunately, halfway through their set the venue experienced a power failure, leading to an almost hour delay before the band was able to finish their set. However, Emmure persevered and finished the night with “When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong“.

Closing out the night, Australian metalcore titans Alpha Wolf unleashed a relentless barrage of sonic fury that left no soul unscathed. Kicking off the night with “Bring Back The Noise“, the group mainly displayed tracks from their most recent album “Half Living Things“, which just came out last month. With their crushing riffs and visceral lyricism, tracks like “Sucks to Suck” and “Bleed 4 You” hit with the force of a sledgehammer, inciting a frenzy of movement and emotion in the pit. Unfortunately, because of the audio issues the venue had earlier the group had to cut a few songs, but they still play as long as they could past the sound curfew to make sure the audience got a full show. Alpha Wolf finished off their time on stage with their most popular song, “Akudama” as the crowd went wild, taking advantage of their last chance to dance. From start to finish, the Alpha Wolf concert at Revolution Live was an unforgettable experience for everyone that was lucky enough to see it (and toughed it out through the audio issues). I cannot wait to see what else the band has in store for their next shows!
