Miami Heat Party It Up at Saturday Night Vice Gala

Miami HEAT Players Bring Style and Star Power to “Saturday Night Vice” Charitable Gala, Featuring Phil Collins Tribute, Exclusive Auctions, and VIP Fan Experiences.
February 8th, 2025
On Saturday Mickey and Madeline Arison, along with Pat and Chris Riley, hosted the “Saturday Night Vice” Gala, presented by Amerant Bank, an exclusive fundraising event to benefit the Miami HEAT charitable fund. Saturday Night Vice intersects the world of basketball with iconic Miami Vice fashion. Celebrity guests Eric Andre, Swae Lee, Jill Martin, Ana Navarro and Lenny Taverez joined the festivities to raise more than $1.1M.

Guests were immersed in a one-of-a-kind VIP experience including personalized locker room nameplates, iconic tunnel-fit photos, custom The Original Vice jerseys and more. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were joined by the entire HEAT player roster including the recent acquisitions Andrew Wiggins, Davion Mitchell and Kyle Anderson for a surprise performance of “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins (HEAT player version).

Players also participated in a style competition judged by Tyler Herro. Live auction items included an F1 experience for two tickets for all three days of F1 Miami in the 72-Club with VIP Car Service; the opportunity to escort a player on Media Day, fly on the HEAT team plane for the 2025 pre-season game in Puerto Rico, attend press conferences, and watch all practices while in Puerto Rico, and two-year lease on a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ, an electric SUV that redefines sophistication with its sleek design, premium interior, and cutting technology. Guests danced the night away alongside the HEAT players and legends before receiving a personalized Giorgio Armani garment bag with The Original Vice jersey inside to close out the evening.

Beyond the entertainment, the night highlighted the HEAT’s deep connection to the Miami community, something the players value greatly. Bam Adebayo reflected on how the organization fosters that connection, especially for young fans, saying, “The way the city and the organization connected me is through the community. Seeing kids experience the HEAT up close, practice in the facility, and enjoy those moments is truly special.”
The emphasis on community extends to all levels of the organization. Nikola Jović and Alec Burks, a recent addition to the team, both recognized and shared that The HEAT is big in the Miami community, and their happy to help do their part. Jaime Jaquez Jr. echoed that sentiment, saying, “The city shows so much love to us, so it’s only right that we reciprocate that back.”
For some players, giving back takes on a personal mission. Keshad Johnson recently took part in a local outreach initiative, helping elementary school students receive free haircuts. “Everybody, from top to bottom, we are in tune with the community. I’m just trying to get more involved,” he shared. Meanwhile, Terry Rozier, through his 12 Blessings Foundation, has partnered with the HEAT to support local kids, adding, “The HEAT are always hands-on and make it easier for me when I’m trying to do something like passing out gifts.”
For others, the idea of giving back extends beyond Miami. Pella Larsson, originally from Sweden, shared his ambition to grow the sport in his home country, saying, “I definitely want to give back where I came from and help grow basketball there.”
Of course, fashion was also a key part of the night, with players bringing their unique styles to the event. Duncan Robinson, rockin’ a turtleneck, admitted he second-guessed the decision, saying, “Some thought the turtleneck made sense, but I’m getting a lot of feedback that maybe it wasn’t.” “I just didn’t want to wear a tie.” Meanwhile, Bam Adebayo credited his mentor, Kevin Graves, for inspiring his suit choices, while Jaime Jaquez Jr. gave his girlfriend credit for picking out his look.
Established in 1997, the Charitable Foundation – Miami HEAT strives to positively impact the lives of at-risk families in our South Florida community by supporting organizations focused on three primary areas: youth programs, education and health and wellness initiatives. Programs receiving support include the Jackson Memorial Foundation Angels benefitting Holts Children’s Hospital, SafeSpace, a domestic violence center for women and children, Dedication to Community and HomeStrong. More than $18M has been raised since the event’s inception in 2006.
