Miami Goes Bananas for Insane Baseball Outing!!

A Game So Outrageous Even the Umpires Joined the Dance-Off as Savannah Bananas and Party Animals Brought the House Down.
October 12th, 2024
The Savannah Bananas vs. Party Animals game at LoanDepot Park this past Saturday was an unforgettable spectacle that perfectly wrapped up the season. This wasn’t just a baseball game; it was a high-energy, crowd-pleasing extravaganza that had fans of all ages on the edge of their seats from start to finish. There was never a dull moment from the second you entered the outside concourse of Miami’s LoanDepot park.
From the moment the gates opened, the entertainment was non-stop. Before the game even began, fans were treated to playful player introductions, bartending juggling acts and even a dance-off! There were oversized bats, a batter on stilts, and singing and dancing throughout the game, giving the night a festive atmosphere unlike any traditional ballgame. The Bananas took fan interaction to a whole new level. It was impossible not to get swept up in the fun, whether it was catching fly balls to record an out, singing along with the crowd or watching The Nanas—who included senior citizens—dancing on the field. Players regularly signed autographs, further closing the gap between the game and its fans.
One of the most exciting features was the playful tweaks to the rules. There were no walks, and in a wild twist, players could even steal first base. An ambidextrous pitcher and a switch hitter stole the show during one at-bat by switching sides mid-play, adding an extra layer of unpredictability.
However, the game wasn’t without its star power either—former Marlins players Dee Gordon and Juan Pierre came in to pinch-hit for the Bananas, adding a nostalgic touch for local fans. Trick plays were constant, with behind-the-back catches and in-between-the-legs fielding moves wowing the crowd.
With tons of entertainment, unique rule changes and an electric atmosphere, the Savannah Bananas vs. Party Animals game was an incredible way to close out the season. Whether you’re a baseball purist or just looking for a fun night out, this show is a must-see for everyone. This season reached new levels for the Bananas as they broke many records for trick catches, attendance and cities visited. They even acquired a television deal with TruTV to have their games televised. As this historic season ends it will be fun to see what they have in store for next season as they hope to spread their reach and make more history.
