The World’s Heaviest Pop-Punk Band Thrills Their Home State with a Fiery Yet Intimate Show – Photos and Review of the A Day To Remember Concert at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL

The Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL was filled with an electrifying energy this weekend as metalcore and pop-punk fans took over the casino to witness their favorite band, Florida natives A Day To Remember, at this intimate venue. With a lineup that included powerhouse support performances from August Burns Red and Stand Atlantic, the night was a rollercoaster of singalongs and high energy moshing.

Stand Atlantic opened the night, delivering a fresh dose of alternative pop-punk to the early crowd as singer Bonnie Fraser pounced around the stage with infectious enthusiasm. The Australian band, known for their catchy hooks and energetic stage presence, set the crowd’s excitement in motion with songs like “WARZ0NE” and “GIRL$“, which captured fans’ attention from the start. Their performance mainly showcased songs from their most recent album “WAS HERE“, which came out in August, and the band’s upbeat melodies created the perfect lead-in to a heavier evening.

Up next, heavy metal heroes August Burns Red cranked up the intensity with their powerful brand of metalcore as they kicked off the night with a cover of System of a Down’sChop Suey“, which had the crowd going bananas in the pit (quite literally, there was someone dressed as a giant banana in the moshpit). Known for technically complex guitar riffs, blistering drums, and Jacob Luhrs’ fierce vocals, August Burns Red turned the entire venue into a whirlwind of sound and movement as they blasted through their setlist.

Tracks like “Paramount” and “Defender” showcased August Burns Red’s incredible musicianship and tightly woven breakdowns, and ADTR’s Jeremy McKinnon even came out to perform “Ghosts” with the band. Finishing up their time on stage with their most popular tracks “Marianas Trench” and “White Washed“, the band’s performance pulled the crowd into mosh pits and a headbanging frenzy that left everyone buzzing with energy.

When the lights dimmed once again and A Day To Remember finally took the stage, the venue erupted with cheers and applause as the moment they’ve all been waiting for finally arrived. The Florida natives opened their set with fan favorite “Sticks and Bricks” as confetti cannons fired into the crowd, immediately stirring up nostalgia and excitement. Bringing out the hits early, the band kicked into “All I Want” and “Second Sucks“,  giving fans the mix of high-energy moments and emotional singalongs they’ve been craving.

Jeremy McKinnon’s vocals bounced seamlessly between melodic verses and brutal screaming choruses, perfectly showcasing the band’s unique blend of pop-punk and metalcore, and his connection with the audience was incredible to see as he chatted with fans in-between songs and encouraged their crazy crowdsurfing antics. Continuing on with “Paranoia” and “I’m Made of Wax Larry, What Are You Made Of?“, the show was supported by an amazing backing production that included pyrotechnics, cryo blasters, more confetti cannons, and a lively stage setup that amplified the band’s powerful sound.

While setlist consisted mainly of songs from their two most most popular albums, “Homesick” and “What Separates Me From You“, it was also packed with hits spanning their entire career as the band expertly jammed through a nearly two hour performance. The show was a non-stop sonic onslaught from front to back, and A Day To Remember closed with an explosive encore featuring “NJ Legion Iced Tea” and “The Downfall of Us All“, leaving fans with an unforgettable ending to an already incredible show. A Day To Remember, along with their friends Stand Atlantic and August Burns Red, blended melodic hooks with metalcore aggression to deliver a night like no other, satisfying both longtime ADTR fans and newcomers alike.
