Set Sail for Honky Tonk Heaven: Boots on the Water Country Cruise Unveiled!
April 30th, 2024
In a thrilling announcement that’s sure to set hearts racing and boots tapping, Vibee President Harvey Cohen revealed the inception and exciting details of the highly anticipated “Boots on the Water” country music cruise on February 8th – 15th out of Miami. The event promises to be a spectacular fusion of country music, nautical adventure, and unforgettable fan experiences.

Originating from Cohen’s deep-rooted appreciation for cowboy culture, honky-tonk melodies, and the electrifying atmosphere of events like the Calgary Stampede, the concept of Boots on the Water was a natural evolution. “Combining popular country performers from the ’90s and ’00s with thousands of fervent fans aboard a cruise ship amidst stunning Caribbean locales was a no-brainer,” Cohen explained.
The lineup itself reads like a who’s who of country music royalty, with iconic acts such as Big & Rich with Gretchen Wilson, Craig Morgan, Jo Dee Messina, Lonestar and more gracing the stage. Cohen attributed the star-studded roster to the genuine spirit of country music, which resonated deeply with the artists, eager to bring Nashville’s essence to the high seas.
But Boots on the Water isn’t merely about star performances. Cohen revealed a plethora of fan experiences, including a Cruise Kickoff Tailgate, Silent Disco with Shut Up & Dance, Songwriters Sessions presented by the Listening Room Café, and other surprises awaiting attendees throughout the week.
The allure of the cruise extends beyond music, with activities like whiskey tastings, Big Game watch parties, and live band karaoke enhancing the honky-tonk adventure. “It’s about celebrating the vibrant culture of country music,” Cohen emphasized.

One of the highlights, the Songwriters Sessions, brings Nashville’s famed Listening Room Café onboard, featuring top songwriters like Kelly Archer, Phil Barton, Chris Blair, Chris DeStefano, Brett James and AJ Kross, offering insights into the genre’s biggest hits.
As for the Norwegian Gem, the chosen vessel for this musical odyssey, Cohen praised its ability to provide a luxurious setting for the festival, highlighting the desire for VIP experiences and bucket-list destinations among today’s audiences.
Shore excursions in Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay promise additional excitement, although snorkeling with the pigs, while listening to “Redneck Yacht Club,” remains a tantalizing daydream for attendees.
In discussing the storytelling tradition of country music, Cohen mused on the potential for Boots on the Water to inspire the next hit, as guests create new memories against the backdrop of the Caribbean.
Cohen hinted at future collaborations between Vibee and Sixthman, the event’s co-producers, promising more unforgettable festivals on water. And for those still on the fence about booking tickets, Cohen’s message was clear: “Boots on the Water offers the ultimate honky tonk vacation, brimming with live performances, immersive experiences, delectable dining, and exciting events” —a boot-scootin’ adventure you won’t want to miss!
