DirtyBird CampInn: Day-to-Night Madness
Sun-Drenched Pool Parties Give Way to Late-Night Renegade Rooms, Laser Beams, and Ceilings Shaking with Bass at Orlando’s DirtyBird CampInn.
August 29th – September 2nd, 2025
A brief morning drive from South Florida to Orlando set the scene for DirtyBird CampInn, with the early-day pool party immediately setting the vibe. Within five minutes of entry, I was in the pool and groovin’!
The house music pool party was a delight, though interruptions for Ball Toss hijinks provided perfect opportunities to refill drinks or catch some sun. Lulls in music and slower bar service were notable, especially given the scarcity of shade by the pool, but the crowd was clearly raring to party.

As bar service picked up, Teknicoz fit the poolside vibe perfectly, with the crowd filling in during the early afternoon. Tech problems on the only stage persisted into Joanna Magik’s set, which remained great but sonically neutered.
A brief storm led to a welcome retreat to the a/c in the hotel, where disco naps exceeded expectations despite wind-ravaged photos reminiscent of Burning Man. Emerging refreshed, freaks and bass returned for the night ahead.
Riva Star held the pool party disco-down while Lava Lab threatened to bring the Hilton convention center walls down, rattling studs and sirens alike. Sirius Hood brought deep bass house to the pool as night took hold, while hidden renegade sets in convention hall rooms flourished. Bar service was dialed in as the nighttime party bloomed, following fun Looney Lounge events like the Twerkaholicz Twerkshop. J Philip glitched the pool party with caboose-shaking bass and somewhat droney zing.

Black V Neck closed the pool with a Latin-fused barrage of bass. Dancers came alive, roars erupted, and midnight beckoned. The event showcased countless little party nooks and crannies—lobby lounge, Sunshine Cafe dank, and glowing room parties overhead. As shadows lengthened and colored lights emerged, the night’s opportunities grew.
DJ Holographic went disco-spacey and amphetamine-bound, some revelers showing excesses reminiscent of ’74. The renegade room filled with about four dozen between the main room, where Victoria Rawlins twirled and tweeted her beats.

Monk’s set ignited the party with dubs, kerosene, and laser beams, delivering serious D&B breakbeats before handing off to Rusko to turn the energy up. Thunderous calamity dove deep, rattling bones with bass, as Frik & Frack held the back and vendors roamed nearby. Stacey Pullen brought a schizoid energy to the floor.
Conrad Taylor pushed the Renegade room hard, delivering unrelenting hard-style worthy of the most Germanic ravers—Flight of the Valkyries hard-style indeed. Christian Martin closed things in the Bird Box with snuggly drum & bass, waves of beats and rhythm washing over dancers retiring to the floor.
Nick Curly maintained the Lava Lab’s high-energy BPMs and blood pressures, while Ben Finx’s Renegade set was the last I caught before crashing.

Despite shockingly little sleep, I was back for Beats & Brunch, where Monk spun for VIP holders. Around 9:30 a.m., small groups settled in, but the set didn’t have the crowd it deserved—time may have been a factor. Still, VIP access allowed guests to enjoy Monk’s beats during brunch, and it was thrilling to see attendees bopping between bites of sausage and cantaloupe.
Audia seamlessly took over the decks, delivering faster D&B as caffeination grew. Gina Turner elevated the intensity further, ramping the crowd up to tearing it up hard-style.

Though my time at DirtyBird CampInn wasn’t complete, accessibility meant a short drive home (or into Orlando for a day-pass or night ticket). With so many incredible acts yet to play, and two days of pool parties ahead, the event proved to be a haven for drum & bass and techno fans alike.
