Harland Williams Keeps Dania Beach Improv Rolling with Laughter

Harland Williams Serves Up a Comedy Roast So Hot, Even Florida Felt the Burn!

February 21st, 2025

Having seen Harland Williams perform several years ago at the Palm Beach Improv, I was eager to experience his comedy again. While I remembered having a fun time at his previous show, this time around, it wasn’t just about sharing laughs—it was about being won over by his incredible crowd interaction. Williams didn’t just play off audience members’ quirks; he manifested them, drawing humor simply from their careers, where they were from, or who they were with. By the end of the night, he had essentially turned the audience into an ensemble cast of a sitcom he was directing on the fly.

For those unfamiliar with Williams, he’s no stranger to the big screen, with notable roles in Dumb and Dumber, There’s Something About Mary, Half Baked, Rocketman, Sorority Boys, and Down Periscope. His signature offbeat humor and quick wit have made him a fan favorite for decades, and his ability to think on his feet was on full display at the Dania Beach Improv. If you enjoy comedy that feels like an unpredictable rollercoaster ride, Williams is your guy—just be prepared, because you might become part of the show.

Adding to the night’s success was former middle school teacher Lisa Corrao, who absolutely killed it as the opening act. A semi-finalist in the Nick@Nite “Funniest Mom in America” contest, Corrao’s sharp and relatable humor set the perfect tone for the evening, priming the audience for Williams’ wild and unpredictable set. She may have left the classroom, but she’s still schooling crowds on how to laugh.

Harland Williams’ performance was a TREAT in crowd work and improvisation, proving why he remains a must-see act in stand-up comedy. His ability to make each performance feel unique and spontaneous is a rare gift, one that ensures no two shows are ever the same. If life feels a little too predictable, do yourself a favor—go see Harland Williams.
