Savor the Best at Amalfi Llama

Experience the Culinary Wonderland of Amalfi Llama, A Fusion of Rich Flavors, Vibrant Atmosphere, and Unmatched Hospitality.

July 17th, 2024

Situated just outside the bustling mall of Aventura, the newly opened Amalfi Llama transports diners from the heart of Miami to a tropical culinary oasis. Combining Patagonian fire cooking with Italian flavors, this vibrant eatery offers an exceptional dining experience that tantalizes the senses.

Upon entering Amalfi Llama, the warm ambiance and inviting décor immediately set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The restaurant’s design, featuring open walls and windows, creates a breezy, open-air environment that allows guests to soak in the lively atmosphere. On weekends, the energy is palpable, with DJs performing both inside and outside, enhancing the festive vibe. The lounge area, equipped with a projector for screening soccer games like Copa America, is a popular spot that draws large crowds of sports enthusiasts.

Amalfi Llama’s menu is a delightful journey through the rustic flavors of Patagonia and the refined tastes of Italy. The woodfired pizza, made with wood imported from Argentina, is a must-try, paired perfectly with the restaurant’s impressive wine selection, showcasing over 250 wines from more than 30 vineyards. During our visit, we started with a few standout appetizers, including the Short Rib Empanadas with Chimichurri Sauce, which were a flavorful start with tender short rib filling and a tangy chimichurri that added a delightful zing. Fresh and vibrant, the Tuna Tartare with Avocado and Ponzu perfectly balanced the richness of the tuna with the creamy avocado and citrusy ponzu. Meanwhile, the Prime Beef Carpaccio with Parmigiano Reggiano featured delicate slices of beef topped with shavings of Parmigiano Reggiano, demonstrating the kitchen’s expertise in crafting sophisticated dishes.

For the main course, the 16 oz Prime Ribeye was a highlight, cooked to perfection with a necessary punch of salt that elevated the flavors. Equally impressive was the Branzino, with its flaky and moist texture, a testament to the skillful use of the parrilla grill. The Truffle Tagliatelle pasta was traditional, but with a twist, offering a rich, aromatic experience as layers of Black Truffle topped it off. My personal favorite and equally a crowd-favorite was Milamessi—a dish derived by the owner’s family. Served alongside crispy fries, the entree provided a comforting and delicious option to the extensive menu. With its crispy panko-crusted beef filet, paired with a rich pomodoro sauce and melted brie, the dish exemplifies the restaurant’s commitment to combining traditional flavors with innovative twists. It was cooked to perfection and its crispy exterior gave way to a tender interior, while the creamy brie and zesty pomodoro sauce elevated the flavors to a new level of indulgence.

Amalfi Llama’s Milamessi

The cocktail menu at Amalfi Llama is equally impressive, with handcrafted drinks that complement the cuisine beautifully. Our server, Melissa, recommended the Coco Llama and the Pam’s-Tini, both of which were expertly mixed and refreshing. The Purple Orchid was a visual and gustatory delight, adding a touch of elegance to our dining experience.

No meal at Amalfi Llama is complete without dessert. The Fire Roasted Cheesecake was a perfect ending, with its creamy texture and subtle smoky flavor offering a unique twist on a classic favorite.

The service at Amalfi Llama was impeccable, with attentive staff like Melissa ensuring that every need was met. The restaurant’s capacity to accommodate nearly 300 guests speaks to its popularity, especially on weekends when the patio area becomes a sought-after spot for those looking to enjoy the pleasant weather.

Amalfi Llama is more than just a restaurant; it is a community hub. With plans to develop a banquet hall and a rooftop speakeasy bar, the restaurant aims to host events such as weddings, birthdays, and social gatherings, further cementing its role in Aventura’s evolving dining scene. Breon Callins, the Beverage and Events Manager, emphasized the restaurant’s commitment to community engagement through wine dinners and other unique events.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this restaurant merging the best of Patagonian and Italian cuisines offers a vibrant atmosphere, exceptional food and a dining experience that truly stands out. With its impressive growth and expansion plans, Amalfi Llama is set to become a cornerstone of Aventura’s culinary landscape.

Louie Bossi’s Boca Is Back and Tastier Than Ever

A night of music, mozzarella, meatballs, and martinis marks the comeback of Boca’s favorite Italian spot.

November 4, 2025

Boca’s favorite Italian spot is back and better than ever. After closing in April because of a kitchen fire, Louie Bossi’s Ristorante Bar Pizzeria has officially reopened its doors, and Boca couldn’t be more excited.

The restaurant kicked things off with an invite-only cocktail preview on Sunday, November 2, and it was the perfect mix of community, flavor, and fun. Guests were welcomed with house-made favorites, signature cocktails, and a performer wearing a champagne dress made entirely of glasses filled with bubbly. A live DJ kept the crowd dancing and smiling all night, setting the tone for Louie Bossi’s big return.

Every table was a dream for anyone who loves Italian food. There was a charcuterie board piled high with meats, cheeses, and fresh focaccia, plus a mozzarella station where chefs stretched the cheese right in front of you. The plates kept coming with wood-fired pizza, creamy pasta, rich meatballs, and those truffle risotto balls everyone was talking about. To end the night, a cheerful chef went around filling fresh cannoli shells with sweet ricotta and powdered sugar.

What’s New and What’s Coming

Louie Bossi’s still has all the warmth and heart Boca locals love, but with a few new reasons to stop by. Guests can now enjoy two Happy Hour options: one from 4 to 7 p.m. daily and another from 9 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.

One of the newest additions is the Girl Dinner, which comes with an Arthur Ave Salad, truffle fries, and a martini for $30. I’m already obsessed and fully plan on making this a regular thing. It’s the perfect mix of light, indulgent, and a little bit fancy, everything Louie’s Lounge is about.

To celebrate the reopening, Louie Bossi’s is hosting a series of events throughout November that bring the community together:

  • Saturday, November 8: A family celebration honoring local firefighters, complete with pizza box decorating, firetruck photo ops, kids’ activities, and free treats.

  • Thursday, November 13: A Tip a Firefighter fundraiser, where local firefighters serve as bartenders and servers to raise money for the Boca Raton Firefighter Benevolent Fund.

  • Later in November: An Italian Mixology Class, where guests can learn to shake and stir signature cocktails in a fun, hands-on setting.

With its incredible food, lively atmosphere, and community-centered spirit, Louie Bossi’s return feels like a big Italian hug for Boca. The comeback is delicious, joyful, and exactly what we’ve been waiting for.
