Kountry Wayne Has Wellington in Stitches!
Kountry Wayne and Mario Tory unleash a double dose of comedic chaos at the new Palm Beach Improv, delivering nonstop punchlines, outrageous observations and enough laughter to qualify as an ab workout.
October 16th, 2026
Palm Beach County’s comedy scene has a fresh new home, and if you haven’t pulled up to the Palm Beach Improv inside The Mall at Wellington Green yet, you’re missing out on some serious laughs.
After more than two decades of entertaining crowds in downtown West Palm Beach, including its longtime CityPlace location and a temporary run at the Kravis Center, the comedy staple has officially settled into its new Wellington digs. And from the looks of things, the move was worth the wait.
The new 450-seat venue brings a modern, comfortable atmosphere to the mall’s upper level, complete with booths, tables, food, drinks and, most importantly, a clear view of the action. That’s one of the biggest wins here. Whether you’re sitting up front, off to the side or farther back, there’s hardly a bad seat in the house. Nobody wants to spend an entire comedy show leaning around somebody’s head just to catch the punchline.
And speaking of punchlines, a recent night featuring comedy star Kountry Wayne proved that this new spot is already bringing the heat.
The atmosphere came correct from the moment we walked in. The crowd was ready for a good time, the kitchen came through with some tasty food, and the bartenders stayed on point with the drinks. It’s the kind of setup where you can grab a bite, enjoy a cocktail and settle in for a full night of entertainment without having to bounce around town.
Now, with any brand-new venue, there are going to be a few growing pains. You could tell the staff was still ironing out some minor kinks with the new space and systems, but nothing that took away from the experience. The team kept things moving, the show stayed on track, and the laughs were never in short supply.
Then came Kountry Wayne.
For anyone familiar with his wildly popular social media comedy sketches, Wayne has built a following by finding humor in everyday situations, especially relationships, family drama, parenting and the kind of life lessons that hit a little too close to home. His comedy has also taken him to Netflix, where his stand-up special A Woman’s Prayer showcases his Southern storytelling, observations about relationships and unmistakable personality.
But watching him work a room in person is a whole different experience.
Wayne hit the stage with that signature energy, quick wit and unscripted realness that have made him such a fan favorite. He has a way of making you feel like you’re hanging out with one of your funniest friends, except this friend has an entire room hanging on his every word.
And naturally, he couldn’t resist having a little fun with the new venue.
At one point, Wayne joked that the room felt a little like a “cafeteria,” drawing another round of laughter from the crowd. That’s Kountry Wayne for you. Give him a microphone, an audience and something to poke fun at, and he’ll find a way to turn it into comedy gold.
The jokes kept coming, the energy never dipped, and just when you finished laughing at one punchline, another one was already on the way. His delivery felt natural, his timing was sharp, and the crowd was right there with him the entire time.
But Wayne wasn’t the only one bringing the funny.
Opening the show was comedian Mario Tory, Wayne’s longtime touring partner and a familiar face to fans who have followed the two on the road. According to their onstage history, these guys have been riding together for roughly a decade, and that chemistry was easy to see.
Tory came out ready to work, warming up the crowd with his own personality, humor and stage presence before handing things over to the headliner. He wasn’t simply there to fill time. He helped set the tone for the entire evening, getting the audience loose and ready for what was coming next.
Together, the two made a great combination. You could feel the comfort and familiarity that comes from years of sharing stages, traveling the country and knowing how to keep an audience entertained.
These boys had me and the wife laughing the entire show, and judging by the reactions around us, we weren’t alone.
What makes the new Palm Beach Improv especially appealing is that the experience goes beyond whoever happens to be holding the microphone. With its comfortable seating, solid food and drink options, and a lineup that continues to attract nationally recognized comedians, Wellington now has a legitimate nightlife destination that doesn’t require a trip downtown.
The addition of neighboring Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen, which offers dining, cocktails and live music, gives visitors another reason to make an entire evening out of it. Throw in free mall parking, and you’ve already eliminated one of the biggest headaches that can come with a night out.
Whether you’re planning a fly date night, getting the girls together, or grabbing your guys for some much-needed laughter, this place deserves a spot on your radar.
Sure, the new venue is still finding its rhythm in a few areas, but the important pieces are already in place. Good food, smooth vibes, strong talent and a room where everybody can enjoy the show.
Kountry Wayne and Mario Tory certainly did their part to make our visit memorable, and the Palm Beach Improv showed why its return is such a welcome addition to the local entertainment scene.
