Langley & Green surprised with ACM Award win on stage.
May 2nd – 4th, 2025

Country Thunder — the largest Country music festival brand in North America — shows no signs of stopping or slowing down in 2025. After igniting the Southwest with Country Thunder Arizona last month, it was Florida’s turn this weekend. Over the course of three unforgettable days, Country Thunder Florida took over Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and left thousands of fans in awe. Check out daily recaps of the weekend on their socials.

The festival boasted a highly curated lineup, assembling icons and the genre’s hottest rising stars on the same bill. On Friday night, Ella Langley joined Riley Green during his set for buzzy performances of “Don’t Mind If I Do” and “You Look Like You Love Me.” Country legend Reba McEntire then made a surprise appearance on the jumbotron to present the ACM Award for Visual Media of the Year for the music video for their collaboration “You Look Like You Love Me.” The headline-grabbing honor recognizes Langley as both an artist and director. The crowd roared in approval with Billboard, American Songwriter, HitsDailyDouble, Country Now, and more highlighting this special moment.
In addition to joining forces with Green for “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” as a tribute to the late Toby Keith, Dillon Carmichael let the Country Thunder Florida family in on a little secret. From the stage he gave fans an exclusive peak into his next album, sharing the release date, June 13, for the first time from the Main Stage.
Amidst a setlist packed with fan favorites, Chayce Beckham debuted a new song entitled “Old Fashioned” live, eliciting widespread cheers from the crowd and cranking up anticipation for its upcoming arrival. Plus, Drew Baldridge hosted a surprise meet-n-greet, signing autographs and taking photos with fans for over an hour. Blake Shelton super-fans Madison Marilla and Tyler White (Love On The Spectrum, Season Three) were spotted meeting the Country superstar with Marilla sharing on socials that it was “a total dream come true!” Excitedly partaking in the festivities, comedian, actor, and podcaster Bert Kreischer, Tampa Bay Buccaneers players such as Graham Barton and Luke Goedeke, and more rolled through the festival grounds as well.

Among countless highlights, Blake Shelton’s Saturday night headline set brought the audience to its feet with one hit after another. Ashley McBryde shined with a powerhouse performance, while Clint Black kept the crowd clapping, singing, and stomping along.

Concluding the weekend on a high note, Jelly Roll proved nothing short of raw, righteous, and rapturous, stunning the audience with seismic renditions of “Heart of Stone,” “Need a Favor,” “Save Me,” and “I Am Not Okay.” He notably welcomed a nine-year-old girl to the stage for a heartfelt impromptu duet on “Liar.”

All weekend, the party extended beyond these stratospheric sets. Attendees participated in the Dancing With The Thunder partner and line dance competitions, taking home prizes such as custom Country Thunder belt buckles. The Songwriters Showcase also pulled back the curtain behind a bevy of chart-topping hits. Elite songwriters such as Brinley Addington, Heath Warren, Benjy Davis, Troy Cartwright, Hays, Philip Morgan, Abby Anderson, Angie K, and more broke down major songs and divulged the stories behind them for fans. Other attractions, including fan-favorite fair rides such as Wall Of Death and Flying Dutchman and a multitude of sponsor activations, engaged festival goers throughout the weekend.

Country Thunder Florida has already received critical acclaim. Tampa Bay Times named it among the “Top Things To Do In Tampa Bay This Week.” WFLA NBC 8 described it as “Don’t Miss,” while Holler proclaimed, “Country Thunder Florida is back and bigger than ever for 2025.”

Country Thunder remains an institution beloved by fans around the world. Taste of Country named Country Thunder Arizona as one of its “17 must-attend country fests in 2025,” while az central touted it among the “Best Concerts in Phoenix in April 2025.” Plus, MusicRow and more have highlighted the experience.
After six installments since launching in 2019, there’s still nothing quite like Country Thunder Florida, which announced its official return to Tampa, FL next year. For more information and future announcements, go to countrythunder.com/fl.
