R House Wynwood, Where the Burgers Are as Extra as the Brunch

Published

on

R House drops a lineup of indulgent, over-the-top burgers inspired by the spirit of its drag icons.

November 12, 2025

R House Wynwood has never played it safe. The drag brunch is legendary. The performances are electric. The energy is pure Wynwood magic. And now the restaurant is stepping into an entirely new spotlight with a lineup of over the top burgers that drop on November 21. This menu is loud, glamorous, a little sinful, and completely obsessed with flavor, which means it fits right in with the queens who inspired it.

Every burger on the lineup comes straight from Executive Chef and Owner Rocco Carulli. He took the confidence and personality of R House’s performers and turned it into food that refuses to blend in. These burgers are big. They are dramatic. And they honestly taste like Miami feels at midnight.

The new menu is available during brunch, dinner, and late-night service, and it marks the start of a whole new era for R House. Think boozy milkshakes, rotating burger specials, and plenty of surprises that will keep people coming back hungry.

The Stars of the Show

  • R Burger
Mojo pork, Swiss, chipotle barbecue sauce, caramelized onions, crispy fritas, and an eight ounce patty that means business.
  • BBL
A bacon wrapped beef patty filled with molten cheese and crowned with pink champagne onions, cowboy candied jalapeños, a splash of secret sauce and a pop of edible gold. Miami would be proud.
  • Big Papi
Beef meets chorizo and things get wild. Havarti cheese, stuffed poblano, grilled avocado, fried plantains, pico, and spicy aioli. Go double or triple if you feel unstoppable.
  • Greek Goddess
A true tribute to Athena Dion. A lamb and beef kofta patty with feta, goat cheese, grilled onions, olive tapenade, tzatziki and sun dried tomato aioli. There is also a vegan falafel version if thats the way you like it.
  • Italian Stallion
A meatball patty with crispy prosciutto, burrata, provolone, basil pesto, and a parmesan crisp. Imagine your loudest Italian relative cheering you on with every bite.
  • Walk That Duck
Beef, duck confit, fig jam, blue cheese, caramelized shallots and herb aioli. Offered as a single, double or triple for anyone who wants to live dangerously.
  • Macho Burger
Spicy aioli, smoky four cheese mac, sharp cheddar, thick cut bacon and crispy shallots. Comfort food that refuses to be humble.
  • Skinny Legend
Spicy grilled chicken, pink pickled onions, arugula, avocado lime cream and hot honey. Light enough to feel angelic but still packed with attitude.
  • Basic B
A classic that knows what it is. Beef, American cheese, red onions, pickles and R House secret sauce on a brioche bun. Available in any size your heart desires.

R House will also be serving: Truffle yuca fries. Candied bacon. A bubbling four cheese mac and cheese skillet. And coming soon, boozy milkshakes that are almost guaranteed to go viral the minute the first glass hits the table.

Dinner is served Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Happy hour takes place Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 7.
Drag Brunch takes place every Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Surfside’s Paddletopia 2026 Served Up Sunshine, Sweat, and Veggie-Packed Bites

Published

Veggies Made Great helped fuel a family-friendly weekend of free workouts, paddleboarding, coffee, small bites, and feel-good fun at 96th Street Park.

May 18, 2026

Surfside brought the good vibes this weekend with Paddletopia 2026, a two-day wellness and outdoor lifestyle event that turned 96th Street Park into a sunny little hub for movement, community, and family-friendly fun.

Held on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event welcomed kids, adults, fitness lovers, coffee drinkers, paddleboarders, and anyone looking for a fresh-air weekend by the water. The best part? So many of the experiences were free, making it easy for families and locals to drop in, move around, and enjoy the day without overthinking it.

The workout classes were a highlight, bringing plenty of energy to the park with approachable, upbeat sessions that made wellness feel fun instead of intimidating. Between the fitness classes, paddleboarding, live music, wellness activations, and relaxed outdoor atmosphere, Paddletopia had that perfect South Florida mix of active and easygoing.

Of course, no great weekend event is complete without good bites. Veggies Made Great, an official event partner, kept guests fueled with complimentary samples of their veggie-packed favorites, including the Spinach Egg White Frittata and Lemon Blueberry Muffin. The samples were a smart fit for the day: light, wholesome, tasty, and easy to enjoy between activities. Paired with coffee and other small bites available throughout the event, it made for the kind of simple, satisfying spread that both kids and adults could get behind.

The event also had a thoughtful environmental angle through the “Paddle for Plastic” initiative with Plastic Fisherman, encouraging attendees to help clean Surfside canals in exchange for eco-friendly rewards. It added a meaningful layer to the weekend, blending wellness, community, and environmental care in a way that felt natural for a coastal town like Surfside.

Overall, Paddletopia 2026 felt like exactly what a South Florida weekend should be: outdoorsy, welcoming, active, delicious, and just a little bit sun-kissed. From free fitness classes to better-for-you snacks and community-focused fun, Surfside gave families a reason to get outside and enjoy the best of wellness by the water.
