R House Wynwood Where Drag Queens Kings and Dinner Slay Side by Side

Wynwood’s Longest Standing Restaurant Is Still the Life of the Party

August 18, 2025

If Wynwood is Miami’s playground of color, then R House is the stage where it all comes alive. Founded by partners Owen Bale and Chef Rocco Carulli, this iconic spot has become a destination where food, cocktails, and drag artistry blend into one unforgettable night.

The runway runs right down the middle of the dining room, turning dinner into front row seats for some of the most electric performances in the city. Queens bring jaw-dropping looks, lip syncs, and comedy that keep the room on its feet while the disco ball spins overhead. One moment you are clapping for a fierce ballad, the next you are screaming for a Pitbull drag king who had the entire crowd howling “Mr 305” energy from start to finish.

The show is pure Miami joy, a lineup of queens and kings who deliver glamour, laughter, and heart with every number. Guests are encouraged to tip generously, cheer loudly, and join in the celebration of self-expression.

The menu more than holds its own beside the show. Appetizers include short rib arepas empanadas filled with kale and goat cheese, and lobster croquetas with a hit of spicy aioli. Entrées range from Brazilian roasted chicken in coconut sauce to carne asada with chimichurri to grilled aji panca octopus served with roasted salsa. Maduros and fingerling potatoes land at the table like comfort food with attitude, and the chef’s dessert brings a surprise finish.

Cocktails sparkle as brightly as the performers. La Reina Margarita floats dragon fruit on top. Berry Bourbon pops with blueberry boba pearls, and the Honey Bear Old Fashioned shows up dressed in bacon-infused rye coffee cacao bitters and a waffle cookie garnish.

R House is not just dinner and a show; it is Wynwood’s queer heartbeat. A place where queens, kings, and guests come together to eat, drink, laugh, and live out loud. It is equal parts restaurant and nightclub, cultural anchor, and party of the year. And every weekend, it proves why it remains Miami’s most fabulous stage.
