The Offspring Bring Lighthearted Chaos to South Florida
The Legendary Punk Band Kicks Off Their “Supercharged Worldwide” Tour With An Electrifying Performance – Photos and Review of ‘The Offspring’ Concert at the iThink Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, FL
The iThink Financial Amphitheater erupted in a sea of punk rock chaos this Friday night as The Offspring kicked off their “Supercharged ’25 Worldwide” tour with an unforgettable spectacle of a performance. The ecstatic crowd was treated to a night of blistering riffs, nostalgic singalong anthems, and a full-scale production featuring inflatable set-pieces, flares, fireworks, and confetti cannons. With New Found Glory and Jimmy Eat World setting the stage, the night was a celebration of late 90’s & early 2000’s punk, emo, and rock ‘n’ roll, uniting multiple generations of fans in a raucous, family-friendly atmosphere.

Local pop-punk heroes New Found Glory wasted no time firing up the “early worms”, delivering a high-energy, crowd-surfing frenzy of nostalgia as the South Florida natives, known for their infectious hooks and relentless stage presence, tore through a setlist packed with fan favorites. From the opening chords of “Understatement“ to the anthemic closing number “My Friends Over You“, the band had the entire amphitheater bouncing throughout their set. Frontman Jordan Pundik led massive call-and-response chants and went down into the crowd, and Zach Comtois and Dan O’Connor did an awesome job filling in on guitars while Chad Gilbert recovers from a medical issue. The pit exploded during “All Downhill From Here“, proving New Found Glory’s lasting power as one of Florida’s most beloved live acts. Their set was a perfect warm-up—full of sweat, singalongs, and the kind of rowdy camaraderie that defines punk rock.

Following the pop-punk party, Jimmy Eat World shifted the mood into a melodic, emotionally charged performance that had fans swaying and belting back every word. The Arizona rockers opened with the melancholic tracks“Pain” and “Just Tonight“, immediately locking in with the crowd as waves of teenage memories washed over them. Frontman Jim Adkins’ earnest vocals shone on “Bleed American“ and “Big Casino“, while the rest of the band’s tight musicianship kept the energy soaring throughout the set. The highlight of Jimmy Eat World’s performance came during their final song (and biggest hit) “The Middle“, which turned the amphitheater into a massive karaoke session, with parents and teens alike shouting the lyrics as Jimmy Eat World left the audience in a euphoric haze—proof that their music remains timeless.

As the sun set behind the amphitheater and darkness fell over the crowd, the fans buzzed with anticipation for the main event. But that didn’t mean the show had paused! Between the giant blimp flying over the crowd, the monkey-masked stage crew giving away free t-shirts and seat upgrades, and trivia questions displayed on the giant screens on stage, the band knew how to keep people distracted while they got everything ready for show time. Suddenly, as the unmistakable riff of “Come Out and Play“ tore through the speakers, The Offspring arrived on stage—and they came to destroy. Frontman Dexter Holland, sporting his signature smirk, commanded the stage with effortless cool, while guitarist Noodles bounded around like a man half his age, peeling off riff after riff.

The band’s set was a nonstop barrage of hits, from the ska-punk bounce of “Original Prankster“ to the breakneck fury of “All I Want“, pleasing all the old-school fans that found the band through Crazy Taxi. The production was truly next-level—sparklers lit up the stage during “Come Out and Play” and flares bathed fans in orange and red for “Want You Bad“. Confetti cannons showered the crowd in confetti several times throughout the night, while giant fog-breathing inflatable skeletons loomed over the stage during the middle of the set, adding a playful, carnival-like atmosphere. One of the most breath-taking moments of the night came during the band’s piano rendition of “Gone Away“, with a sea of phone lights staring at the stage as the crowd sang along to every word, transforming the amphitheater into a punk rock choir.

The Offspring have always balanced chaos and fun, but what made the night truly special was the sense of community—multiple generations of fans coming together to have a blast, from Gen X skaters reliving their youth to teenagers discovering these anthems for the first time. Parents hoisted kids onto their shoulders during “The Kids Aren’t Alright“, and beach balls dropped from the ceiling during “Why Don’t You Get a Job?“, turning the pit into a giant game of keep-em-up. The band acknowledged the familial vibe, with Dexter joking, “We’ve been doing this so long, some of you used to bring your parents… and now you’re bringing your kids!” The Offspring closed out their time on stage with a one-two punch of “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” and “Self Esteem“ leaving the audience breathless and cementing the night as one of the best shows of their life.
