Remember the Time? Relive It with MJ The Musical! It’s Bad (In the Best Way!).

March 18th, 2025

MJ The Musical has Moonwalked its way into Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center, delivering a Thriller of a performance that leaves audiences Jam-ming in their seats. This four-time Tony Award®-winning spectacle, including Best Choreography, offers an electrifying journey into the creative genius of Michael Jackson during the making of his 1992 Dangerous World Tour.

Under the visionary direction of Tony Award®-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, known for his work on “An American in Paris,” the production enlists the dynamic talents of Rich and Tone Talauega, former dancers from Jackson’s HIStory World Tour. Their collaboration results in choreography that is nothing short of Bad—in the best possible way.

The musical masterfully weaves together 35 of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits, guiding the audience through his evolution from a young member of The Jackson 5 to the global icon behind the Dangerous album. Three exceptionally talented performers embody Jackson at different stages of his life, capturing his distinctive vocals and signature dance moves with jaw-dropping precision. The supporting cast of singers and dancers amplifies the show’s vibrant energy, making it a true visual juggernaut.

Visually, the production is a feast for the eyes. The ambient lighting and surreal stage design create a wondrous and magical atmosphere, perfectly complementing the screamingly colorful outfits that pay homage to Jackson’s unique style. The attention to detail is meticulous, reflecting the star’s unwavering pursuit of perfection.

The narrative delves into Jackson’s relentless drive and the sacrifices he made for his art, offering a thought-provoking glimpse into the man behind the music. Moments of levity are interspersed throughout, providing well-timed laughter that balances the show’s emotional depth.

One of the standout moments occurs post-intermission with a mesmerizing performance of “Thriller,” which can only be described as one of the best ever. It’s a testament to the show’s ability to reinvent iconic sequences in ways that feel both fresh and nostalgic.

MJ The Musical is the ultimate tribute; it’s a riveting adrenaline rush that showcases the King of Pop’s enduring legacy. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to his music, this production is a must-see experience that you truly can’t Beat It. Performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center run from March 18th to 23rd, with tickets ranging from $49 to $199.  Don’t miss the chance to be part of this exhilarating journey into the world of Michael Jackson.
