New Found Glory’s Still Not Dead Tour Lands at Denver’s The Fillmore.

September 16th, 2021

I had the incredible pleasure of attending New Found Glory‘s recent performance at the Fillmore in Denver, and the show was nothing short of extraordinary. The band, known for their high-energy performances and infectious stage presence, delivered a night filled with nostalgic hits and unexpected surprises, leaving the audience in awe.

The setlist was meticulously crafted, featuring a perfect blend of classic anthems and unexpected covers that showcased the band’s versatility. Opening the night with the powerful tracks “Understatement” and “Truth of My Youth,” New Found Glory wasted no time in captivating the crowd. One of the standout moments was their electrifying cover of “King of Wishful Thinking” by Go West, which the band flawlessly made their own.

The energy in the venue remained palpable throughout the entire performance, with standout moments including the spirited renditions of “All Downhill From Here” and “Hit or Miss,” which had the crowd singing along at the top of their lungs. The band’s rendition of “This Is Me” by Pasek and Paul was particularly moving, showcasing their ability to infuse emotion into every note.

New Found Glory also surprised fans with an unexpected cover of “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer, adding their signature punk-rock flair to the beloved track. “Let It Go,” “Head On Collision,” and the explosive finale, “My Friends Over You,” during the encore, brought the house down, leaving the audience screaming for more.

What truly set this performance apart was the band’s genuine connection with the audience. Their banter between songs and infectious enthusiasm created an intimate atmosphere despite the large venue, making every fan feel like they were part of something special.
