Discovering Paradise: W South Beach – Where Luxury Meets Leisure.

August 6th, 2017

Whether doing a staycation or vacation, the W South Beach is the ultimate treasure for travelers. Unfortunately, it’s taken me too long to realize that notion. Afterall, for several years, I’ve attended private events with acclaimed DJs and other notable artists during March’s Miami Music Week, but I’ve barely ventured beyond the private cabana area and pool dubbed MINI WET. Just outside that area was the ever-present full-sized WET pool area. Featuring over 4,000 square feet of lush outdoor space, WET is one of the largest pools in Miami Beach lined with private cabanas and servers offering cocktails, snacks and fresh pressed juices. However, one of the best highlights among their collection of services are mini spa treatments, which could be done right alongside the pool.

Steps away from WET is the neighboring beach and the W’s SAND where guests could rent a variety of motorized and non-motorized beach equipment including:

  • Aqua vault to store valuables
  • Beach cabanas
  • Beach daybeds
  • Children’s beach toys
  • Kite surfing/jet skis
  • Umbrellas & beach chair

Beach towels are available there for registered guests. Food and beverage options are also available during varied hours at beachside food trucks including the newly debuted oceanfront Taco Truck, which offers a really tasty Mexican-style lunch, plus Margaritas and Cervezas! Of course, all this follows after enjoying a complimentary sangria at check-in. Unlike many hotels that give you your keys and really just send you on your way, the people at the counter make it a point for you to get everything you want during your time with them. That includes helping you scout places to entertain yourself or to simply grab a bite and even arranging taxi service.

INSIDE THE ROOM

Oddly one of things I first noticed was the bathroom had a welcoming aroma to it, which is funny considering that my allergies don’t usually allow me to take in things of that nature. But, obviously the real kicker of finding a hotel in South Beach is the proximity to the beach and the W gives you a tranquil view of the ocean right from your balcony.

SPECIAL SERVICES

The W South Beach’s newly designed and most luxurious PH suites have already been a hit with major top celebrities including Kourtney Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin and Ricky Martin. Inside those oversized rooms, guests could host private meetings and even have private chefs ready to serve them and their guests.

Guests also have all-day access to the hotel’s Cabana Lounge where an insta-worthy, beach-theme breakfast will be served.

AMENITIES

Included with your stay is a 24-hour gym, plus a regulation size basketball and tennis court. For those looking to step up their game in the gym or on the tennis court, personal trainers are available for a small additional fee. There’s even a Paw Program where you could check in your 4-legged friend for a day of luxury. Checkout the W’s site HERE for prices and other features.

For more information on the hotel’s amenities including the hotel’s rooftop tennis and basketball courts, plus many other popular features to the iconic hotel please visit HERE. Oh, and while visiting make sure to sign up for an exclusive spritz making class.
