South Florida Fair’s Shows Are Dino-mite!!!

Published

The South Florida Fair is setting record crowds with the help of jaw-dropping shows.

January 21st, 2023

The 111th annual South Florida’s Fair with its Dino-Myte theme has been experiencing record attendance since kicking off on Friday, January 13th. While the familiarity of several vendors, animal exhibits and rides has brought the return of several visitors, this year’s shows were an absolute spectacle. Leading the way were the additions of the Dinotopia Ice Show, Extreme illusions & Escapes and Hollywood Horses Tricks & Tails. While each show displayed eye-catching feats and were absolutely family-friendly, they varied so much in entertainment.

The Dinotopia Ice Show with performers donning incredibly vivacious costumes, caught your attention the second they came into view. But that monumental attention took on new heights as the professional ice skaters also showcased some unreal contortions. Spinning at ridiculous speeds, they definitely captivated audience members with their grace and flexibility. However, while they were very entertaining, they took a backseat to the dinosaurs on ice. Yeah, you read that right. These showstoppers were outrageously fun and had everybody gleaming.

Yet, watching Extreme Illusions & Escapes and Hollywood Horses Tricks & Tails, the entertainment didn’t drop off at all. Veteran comedian-magician Josh Knotts executes some theatrics that will have you baffled for quite some time. From incredible illusions to unexplainable escapes, it’s a show that truly is worth the price of your ticket alone. Even with audience members on stage and up-close with the performer, they were caught off guard as each one of us in the crowd. At Tricks & Tails, horses which appeared on TV and Film showcased skills that didn’t seem feasible for animals of their size. On command these horses not only stood on small platforms, but they also bowed and even stood fully extended while on just two hoofs. But, the craziest thing was watching one of them play fetch as if they were a dog.

The South Florida Fair is produced by the South Florida Fair & Palm Beach County Expositions, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and has a longstanding tradition of raising funds for educational and charitable purposes. Located at 9067 Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach, the 2023 South Florida Fair kicked off with its Ride-A-Thon on January 12th and wraps up on the 29th.
