Directed with finesse and flair by Jennifer Werner, every aspect of the production sparkled with precision and passion. The choreography, reminiscent of Busby Berkeley’s iconic routines, was executed with jaw-dropping synchronicity by the exceptionally talented cast. From intricate tap sequences to high-energy ensemble numbers, each dance sequence was a visual feast that left the audience in awe.

The show is set during the great depression and follows the journey of Peggy Sawyer, played by returning favorite Taylor Quick, who is determined to make it big on Broadway. Her voice soared through the theatre, capturing the essence of each song with emotion and power. Supporting roles were equally impressive, with standout performances from the seasoned Broadway director, Julian Marsh, played by John Preator and the seasoned diva, Dorothy Brock, played by Angie Schworer Their dynamic interactions added depth and humor to the production, while the ensemble cast provided a vibrant backdrop of colorful characters who brought the bustling streets of 1930s New York City to life.

The talented designers of the 42nd Street set include: April Soroko as the Costume Designer, Kirk Bookman as the Lighting Designer, Scott Stauffer as the Sound Designer, Nathan W. Scheuer as the Projection Designer that seamlessly transformed the stage from gritty back alleys to opulent Broadway stages with the flick of a switch. Combined with dazzling costumes and evocative lighting, the production created a rich tapestry of sights and sounds that transported the audience to another era.

But perhaps the true star of the show was the music itself. With classic tunes like “Lullaby of Broadway” and “We’re in the Money,” the score of 42nd Street is a timeless treasure that had the audience tapping their toes and humming along from beginning to end.
